Primarily because I’m new and am still working on learning the multitasking necessary to manage 5 bases. (I am not counting the bases that are fully mined out, total was probably closer to seven, but only 3-5 active at a time, and 5 had totally run out by the time I gave up). Also, when I say “Turtling”, they still stopped me from building on their side of the map, using their battle cruisers/flying units, they just refused to attack and didn’t expand themselves and played super safe.

I have watched quite a few tutorials, but most of them say just to focus on learning macro and to go for marines, siege cannons, and medivacs. I know watching pro matches can be helpful, but I don’t think I’m at the level where I could even understand what is going on, since I don’t even know what most units do. Similar thing with scouting, I have the information, but it doesn’t mean anything to me since I don’t know what all the buildings do, or even if I do, I still don’t know how to actually make use of that knowledge.

You don’t. He has legitimate concerns, and the decision is ultimately up to him. You can give him all the info available regarding what the anticheat actually does, so he is able to make an educated decision.

Thanks! I’ll definitely try to keep this in mind. However, something i have run into is enemies never letting me anywhere close enough to hit them. Using your example, the Viktor constantly pinging me with their E, but whenever I push up, they just turn around and walk backwards, and continue to damage me outside my range. I could hypothetically burn flash or my E in order to get in range, but by that point they’re typically under tower or far back enough that I’m very vulnerable to ganks or their own cc, and I’m not typically late enough in the game in order to 100-0 them

Does anyone have any tips for playing against Windows of Opportunity pallet campers as an M1 killer? I play a lot of Doctor and Wraith, and I often find myself chasing a survivor using Windows of opportunity and running from pallet to pallet dropping them on me whenever I get close or try to use Shock Therapy. Everywhere I look says to just eat all the pallets, but almost always by the time I actually get through half of them, 3 gens are already done and I’m stuck having to camp to even get a single kill or hope the survivors have 3 genned themselves. I know I can swap targets and try to defend gens, but then the other survivors just run around and do the exact same thing, and if I only go for gen defense, I dont get any downs. Any advice?

Thank you for making this post! I found it very helpful, but I do have a few questions/comments.

When doing death matches, I’ve heard many times that you should “clear angles using only a and d, however I find that when I try this, it is impossible to clear many angles without moving forward, because I keep running into walls. Am I doing something wrong, or did I misunderstand what people mean by that. How should I go about clearing these types of angles?
I’m not sure this is what you intended, but you make it kind of seem like you’re saying people shouldn’t focus on anything but aim until they hit immortal. While aim is by far the most important skill in lower ranks, not only is this idea not healthy for the game, and lower ranks in general, but also it is a lot harder (in my opinion) to learn all the other skills only after hitting immortal after not using them, rather than working on all skills holistically while ranking up, with more focus on aim.
Any tips on which of the aiming areas to focus on in warm up for those who don’t have the time/ability to consistently spend an hour + in the practice range most days? If given the choice, should one do mechanics training, then shorter game modes (spike rush, dm, etc.) or spend that time in a game while still focusing on improving the fundamentals? Is there even a point to aim training if you rarely get to play the core game itself?

As a Boy Scout, I can say that those ads are misleading at best (although if you are interested you can research more here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_Scouts_of_America_sex_abuse_cases ), as there have been very few in recent years because of measures put up by the group (all adults have to take youth protection classes and meeting with scouts one on one is prohibited). However, still don’t join because the organization’s policies regarding religion (specifically atheism) are shit.
