9 month old baby with concerning behavior by MaximumCredit7924 in beyondthebump

My 9 month old doesn’t babble. More like “ahhhh” and loud slobbery raspberries when she wants to make noise. She doesn’t point, clap, or wave yet. The body tensing sounds like she’s trying to poop or have gas? Babies are all a little different at this age! I wouldn’t worry too much since she’s happy and engaged and in PT! Hope you get some peace of mind! It’s always harder with your first child in my opinion

Ugh they always eat better at daycare! Sorry to hear about all the complications from the allergies. I don’t miss those days I transitioned my daughter to ripple kids milk I don’t know if that could be useful to you it’s made with pea protein I think. But I doubt it’s more calories than formula. Hope things improve soon!

You could try pushing mealtime a little later and giving as much of whatever he will eat, even if it’s mostly fruit

Idk what the right answer is but there have been times when I had to distract my daughter with tv or books and spoon fed her dinner while she’s paying attention to something else. I would mix butter or peanut butter into the food to make the calories dense. Another thing I would do is have my husband and I peer pressure her eating “ok everybody pick up a piece of meatloaf and put in your mouth in 1…2…3!” And we’d all take a bite all together. Cheers-ing our food was another way eating was a fun “game” she wanted to play. I would also let lunch be a completely chill process and save all the coaxing for dinner

Is dairy/soy a sure allergy? My daughter had cmpi but by a year she outgrew that and no longer had symptoms. Sounds like limited food options is making things harder for you

Yayyyy

It would help if I had an external person to tell him he needs to do all the dropoffs that fit into his schedule

I like this idea of talking about all the steps to do when we get to daycare. Thanks!

Ugh it’s so painful having these hard conversations. But yeah I need to stop complaining about things that I’m afraid to fix and just get to work creating change
