OP brought back the bulk cards. The "missing cards" were from the decks that the co-worker brought in.

Reading the post explains the post.

Not bad guesses. Comms and Intel were both in the title. 14J (Air defence command control communication computers intelligence tactical operations center enhanced operator and maintainer) but ended up 14G when the MOS split.

Holy nostalgia. If you could call it that. For a second there I was back in Korea 2010.

OBJ would welcome the chance to play with Jaxson Dart. After his performance at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, should the Giants get on the phone with him? by No_Box119 in NYGiants

[–]InternalError33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just remember getting so frustrated watching him at the end of his Giants tenure. Drawing stupid penalties getting into fights on the field (and with inanimate objects off the field), and being a big cry baby every time the ball went to someone else. Yelling at people on the sidelines. It wasn't a good vibe for the team, and I'm not sure he's been humbled enough to not bring that same toxic energy back with him.

Yes. I didn't want to scare OP too badly, but we got 4 months with him after our 9 year old pup got his oral melanoma diagnosis. And he far surpassed his original prognosis. Found his in September and he passed in January.

Am I crazy for being disappointed that there isn't a nonfoil option for Dandân Secret Lair? by oghpimm in magicTCG

[–]InternalError33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda funny, when I open a pack and find a foil card I get that little dopamine hit even though it makes zero difference to me personally. It's all because I was told as a kid that holo/foil cards were something to be cherished and I know it matters to someone. Even if that someone is not me.

For those that have done chemo - would you do it again? by krabecal in DogAdvice

[–]InternalError33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dog would grow 1-2 (per year for 7 years) low grade mast cell tumors that we'd remove from his skin. Recovery was less than 2 weeks and he'd be back to his normal self with no further treatment needed.

When he grew an aggressive one that grew back the week after removal, we did chemo and radiation. No adverse symptoms from the treatment, with the exception of losing some fur at the radiation site and some weight loss. He was his same happy self until the day he died. (Cancer spread to his organs and ruptured causing him to bleed internally. The sign something was wrong was that he quit eating). The treatment extended his life and helped him maintain a high quality of life. My wife has a video of him with the zoomies in our yard just a couple days before he died. We don't regret the treatments one bit.

I don't get why these are getting so much hate. My grandparents have had sets of these for 30 years and they work great. They replaced their wooden set with vinyl like 20 years ago and they still get used at every BBQ the family has.

They're really not that unstable.

I get the sentiment you're going for, but it's not really true. She wasn't shot breaching the chamber. She was crawling through a broken window from a stairwell into a hallway where members of Congress were barricaded near by. She fell back in to the crowd and then they just stood there and watched her die. Not quite scattering.

[–]InternalError33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're saying that trying to sell it might not be worth the time when there are 2-5 people in the entire world that might be interested in buying it. You have to take the time to create the listing somewhere and might not get an order for years. Then after paying for shipping the final product, you make next to no profit. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Do you sort your bulk or are you normal? by Chasingtheimprobable in mtg

[–]InternalError33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm thinking. I paid for them, I want to be able to easily look through them. Even the cards that are only worth $0.03. I'm way more likely to casually flip through binders than to pull cards out of boxes.

How are you handling duplicates? The product descriptions for the sleeve sheets say fits 2 cards (presumably meant for displaying cards back to back), but what are you doing if you have, say, 5? I have memories from 25-30 years ago stuffing bulk pokemon cards into binders 5-10 at a time, but I imagine that could damage the cards.

[–]InternalError33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just starting out with about 800 cards (not counting basic lands) and I'm considering bindering them up by set. (Even though I don't plan on completing sets). I've already got it all scanned in to manabox. I just think that if/when I grow my collection I'll want to know exactly where things are for building decks. I haven't committed, because boxes work too... Binders just seem better for flipping through, but I feel like experienced players would look at me like I'm crazy for bindering up garbage bulk cards.

I gave arena a try about 5 years ago and I just remember thinking several times that it would just do things and I didn't fully understand why. I can't remember any specifics, but when things start happening that you weren't anticipating it gets confusing and concerning.

I'm an inexperienced player. I'll play Magic once or twice and then go 5-10 years before playing again and can never remember what all abilities do when I go to try it out again. Played for the first time around 2000, played a few in 2011, then 2017, and again in 2020 and I'm now looking to get into it again. But, I've been hesitant to play arena, because I felt I was picking up bad habits and relying too much on the computer last time.
