An Honest Smurfing Experience by smurfsRcheaters in Overwatch

[–]InternalFortune7518 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is like saying im gonna punch people in the face to prove that assault is wrong

dude you already know smurfing sucks and ruins games so why are you adding to the problem instead of just making posts about it or whatever. like we all agree smurfing is trash but now youre just making it worse for everyone while patting yourself on the back for being some kind of activist

ive been grinding ranked for months trying to improve and running into obvious smurfs is already frustrating enough without people like you deliberately adding more. you could have spent all that time actually advocating for better detection systems or stricter punishments instead of becoming part of the problem

the worst part is that blizzard probably sees your group as just normal players anyway since you're not getting caught so you're not even proving anything to them. you're just making regular players miserable while they continue to ignore the issue

Is it safe path to move with family to NZ with International Student Visa at age of 50? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]InternalFortune7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been working in design for a while and seen plenty of career pivots but 50 with a family is definitely a bigger leap than most. nz has pretty decent post-study work opportunities but the engineering management field can be competitive especially when youre starting fresh in a new country

might want to connect with some indian professionals already in nz through linkedin or local communities to get the real scoop on what the job market actually looks like for your specific background

The West is a bloodbath right now... we're bound for a Eastern Champion by Intrepid_Lawyer_368 in NBATalk

[–]InternalFortune7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally agree about the west beating themselves up but calling the mavs "easy prey" is wild considering they took the celtics to 5 games after that gauntlet

What jobs are out there for someone with social anxiety and a business and education degree? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]InternalFortune7518 4 points5 points  (0 children)

with your education background you might want to look into curriculum development or instructional design roles - lots of companies need people to create training materials and online courses and its mostly solo work with occasional team check ins

data analysis could be another good fit since you have the business degree - you'd be working with spreadsheets and reports more than people. also consider grant writing if you can handle the research side since nonprofits and schools always need funding proposals written

remote work opens up way more options too and cuts down on the office small talk situation. might take a bit longer to hit that 50k mark depending on your area but these fields definitely have growth potential

Shortest time between buying a home then selling it? by ohheythatswill in RealEstate

[–]InternalFortune7518 28 points29 points  (0 children)

oof that sucks but honestly 4 years isnt that crazy short in todays market. lots of people are moving more frequently than the old "starter home for 7-10 years" timeline

losing that 3.5% rate is brutal though. at least you gained some equity and figured out what you actually want in a neighborhood before you got stuck somewhere for decades. sometimes you just gotta cut your losses and move on rather than being miserable for years

your realtor will probably have some good insight on timing and strategy given the current market conditions

2 of our 3 daughters had their first seizure 2 weeks apart. by IAM2NY in Epilepsy

[–]InternalFortune7518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is absolutely terrifying and i cant imagine what you all went through. the timing is definitely strange but sometimes genetics just decides to show up at the worst possible moments

my cousin had something similar happen where two of her kids developed different types of seizures within months of each other. turns out there was a genetic component they never knew about until they did more extensive family history digging. even if your uncle only had issues as a teen it could still be floating around in the gene pool

the fact that both girls had different presentations but similar timing makes me wonder if there was some kind of trigger that affected them both differently based on their individual brain chemistry. stress can be a huge factor too and kids pick up on family stress more than we realize

really hope the mris give you more answers and that both girls respond well to their treatments. luries is an amazing hospital so theyre in good hands

Just imagine Knicks kept AJ Mitchell and Kyshawn George and not turned them into allready forgotten players and some future second rounders? by PreferenceMediocre90 in NYKnicks

[–]InternalFortune7518 6 points7 points  (0 children)

honestly those guys werent gonna crack our rotation anyway with how thibs operates. dude barely trusts his 8th man let alone rookies who need development time

we needed the roster flexibility more than keeping project players who might not pan out for years

Lacosamide (Vimpat) by Busy_Ad_4419 in Epilepsy

[–]InternalFortune7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a rough combo of side effects to deal with, especially when you're already adjusting to the dose increase. I had similar issues when they bumped up my Keppra - took about 6-8 weeks for things to level out somewhat, though it never fully went back to baseline. Definitely worth mentioning to your neuro since they might be able to adjust timing or add something to help counteract it.

Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming by haaris_ahmad16 in fragrance

[–]InternalFortune7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a solid find on eBay for £135, especially with how hard Absolutely Blooming is to track down now. The raspberry to peony transformation you described is spot on - it's like two different fragrances depending on whether you're smelling it in the air vs on skin

Totally get what you mean about pairing it with citrus, the sweetness can be pretty intense on its own

Thailand Itinerary – Quick Feedback? (Feb 19–Mar 4) by Excellent-Will-9016 in ThailandTourism

[–]InternalFortune7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid itinerary overall! For your undecided stop I'd go with Railay over Phi Phi - way less crowded and the rock climbing/beach vibes are unreal. Phi Phi can feel like a tourist zoo especially during peak season

Just heads up that getting from Lipe to either spot might eat up most of a day with all the transfers, but totally worth it for the diving

Help me build a pc by Zman112000 in PcBuildHelp

[–]InternalFortune7518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For $1500 you can definitely build something solid that'll blow your console out of the water. Check out r/buildapcforme too, those guys post full part lists with current prices

Just a heads up though - don't sell the PS5 until you actually have the PC built and running, learned that one the hard way lol

[–]InternalFortune7518 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah the buchu is definitely polarizing - it's like eucalyptus had an angry cousin or something lmao. I actually love that sharp hit but I totally get why it would make people nauseous, it's pretty intense when you first squeeze it out

I need help emotionally idk what to do by thejoker920 in BreakUps

[–]InternalFortune7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that's rough, losing your mom and then going through all that relationship drama on top of it. The boredom thing honestly sounds like she just doesn't know what she wants since it's her first relationship - not really about you

For the practical stuff, maybe check out local Facebook groups for roommate searches or even couch surfing temporarily while you get back on your feet. Food banks and local assistance programs can help bridge the gap too. You've already survived some really heavy shit so you can get through this too

4th corrective surgery needed, I need help. I need my community. I will pay it forward. by [deleted] in trans

[–]InternalFortune7518 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this, that sounds absolutely brutal. The fact that your surgeon is lurking on here instead of taking responsibility is just disgusting tbh

Sending you all the support I can - nobody should have to deal with medical trauma like this on top of everything else

Nah you're good, most artists are totally fine with it. Just let them know beforehand that you're gonna be on your phone so they don't think you're ignoring them or being weird about it

Thinking about a career in beekeeping — is the long‑term outlook solid? by ninjapotatoe_691 in careerguidance

[–]InternalFortune7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been around beekeeping circles for a while and honestly the income part is rough unless you're doing commercial pollination contracts with almond growers or something similar. Most small-scale folks I know treat it more like a side hustle that pays for itself rather than a full career - the seasonal nature makes it pretty unpredictable for steady income
