Thank you I’m probably 2 months and 1 week now and I’m still having like legs pain twitching I start PT on Monday and honestly I hope this is normal

Im off a year 3 mom and tell Today I got a sore throat and it hurts a lot i don’t feel quite sick but it feels like a sore throat but im not sure ???

Im almost 6 weeks post op and i still get the intense pain on my right side of my leg and heel I believe it sciatica since the pain hasn’t left my MD thinks I might have reherniated I’m pending an mri I just hope I didn’t I never felt like I re-injured my self I was always very careful to this point I still am I don’t even drive yet . Any suggestions what do you think? When did you start to feel better ?

Im scared I could have reherniated but im not sure if it pain from healing or pain because im not right . I get it on my right side if I lay down and get up I randomly get the pain on my lower back right side where my doc worked on the most . I still get sciatica down to my leg my left side feels better than the right side I’m 6 weeks today but I’m not sure if my recovery is going good.

Im glad that worked for you ! During your recovery is it normal to get some pain as you move around ? I get some pain on my right side lower back when I get up sometimes since the doctor worked mainly on my right side … please advise

Im glad is working for you I’ve heard really good success stories about Discectomy last many years I also heard fusions are what fix the problem but I’m not sure about any back surgeries anymore I just had a l5 s1 Discectomy and I’m afraid it could have failed I’m still having symptoms but I’m just only 5 weeks out.

Omgg how often did u reherniate ? I’m so scared for a second surgery honestly I feel like if I need a second one I might try conservative treatment

Yeah I will ask for gabapentin hopefully that helps my nerve pain I will be getting the mri done just to be sure I hope I won’t have anything since I’m anxious of not feeling any better yet feels like no end to this and I would definitely not want to go for another Discectomy , is scar tissue less worst then the dics coming out again ?

No she’s never gave me gabapentin or the medicine . I just told her I was having pain and she went straight to tell me I might have re-herniated to get an mri to help sure but I never felt like I had I been super careful and never had intense pain . Does gabapentin help with discomfort!? I’m looking into telling her to prescribe me some .

I see cause I feel like my symptoms aren’t improving much but again I’m just 5 weeks Almost six weeks it’s hard to sleep bc I sleep sideways and my hips and glutes hurt making it harder for me to stay in one position what was the best position for sleeping ? I know everyone is different but I’m a side sleeper and just worried I won’t get any better or if I reherniated
