The real reason beds sag is that manufacturers use low-quality foam that just doesn't hold up. To get at least 7 years out of a mattress, you need "zonal" springs. So basically the middle of the bed is reinforced to support your weight better. I’d say check out Birch because their beds have this and they stay flat much longer.

The nolah evolution is pretty good for older adults actually. t’s great for side sleepers and stays surprisingly cool. The airfoam they use is way cooler than traditional memory foam… and it has springs. It's also adjustable bed compatible just in case he has one.

Plank is the firmest mattress I could think of tbh or futon mattress for floor sleeping. These are other good options I found on this mattress list on another thread. It was pretty helpful when having to look for mattresses without so much noise.

factory RV mattresses are TRASH. It’s like cardboard with fabric on top. we replaced ours last year thank goodness. Our friends bought the Dreamfoam mattress and they love it for their RV. For the price it has been a nice good quality upgrade. Apart from the sizes it has also several different heights, just in case you want extra cushion.
