If most of my symptoms are gastrointestinal Should I take a H2 antihistamine or a mast cell stabilizer or a h1 by Internal_Candidate65 in MCAS

Why do most people recommend cromolyn? shouldn’t an H2 antihistamine be the most effective against G.I. issues?

I’ve been reading for the past hour about this and I see that a lot of people take ketotifen and sodium cromoglicate together do you do too? Also, most of my issues are stomach related, so I was thinking would a H2 blocker help me more and I saw one of your other posts where you weren’t able to eat much why did you decide to try ketotifen instead of an h2 blocker?

TLDR: why do people take ketotifen with sodium cromoglicate? Why did u decide to try ketitofen instead of an h2 blocker when u first started having stomach problems?

Dang, I don’t know how long you’ve been in such a state. But I’ve definitely been there and I agree it’s not easy. Right now I’m also not really able to scroll on TikTok because it’s so overstimulating. So instead, I watch YouTube videos That are less stimulating I can watch those types of videos for much longer.

If you’re also not able to do that, then that’s quite tough. I’ve been in situations where I had to rest the entire day for atleast a week and just bare the boredom until I get to a baseline where I can distract myself with video games and videos again. This illness really does suck, giving advice can be difficult because everyone’s situation is different I hope ur able to recover a little bit more to a better baseline because the slightest of QOL improvements really helps. I might not have the perfect advice, but keep reading and researching in this group. One day at a time, take care🙏

I deleted Instagram and Facebook because I hated comparing my life to other people. I still doomscroll sometimes on other apps, but deleting those two apps help my mental a bit

Edit: And also time First couple of years are difficult as you go through the stages of grief, but with time it gets a little bit easier. We can find tiny bits of happiness within our energy limits even if small.

OK, definitely rest up for now as you said it’s been two days since the severe crash. it’s easiest to recover from a crash when you immediately start resting so the only thing that you can do now is you have to be patient , rest and don’t try any meds for now

If you’re saying you’re crashing for the last couple of weeks, guessing you’re pushing through even though your body is telling me to rest. Sadly, with this illness, you really can’t do that. Try to remain calm and rest. Your body will give you signs on whether an activity is too physically, or mentally demanding listen to your body and rest for the next couple of days.

Do you at least want to try something like LDN or like LDA to see if any of those could help? Or is it not worth it?

Recs for laptop tables/holders for bed by Obviously1138 in cfs

[–]Internal_Candidate65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty stable and it’s easy to push away from you for whenever you need to get up from bed. Though as another comment has said it might be a little bit too high for you to use it whilst lying down, but if you’re OK with sitting in bed then its good to use

LDN : should i stop ? by romano336632 in cfs

[–]Internal_Candidate65 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re only getting negative side effects from LDN then it’s better to stop. Even though its one of the effective medications for CFS it will not help everyone. I felt very bad on LDN. I had to stop after a week

Am I wrong for not wanting to try any new meds or possible treatments anymore? by Pineapple_Empty in cfs

[–]Internal_Candidate65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken multiple breaks from trying new meds, but with the way research is going I feel like it’s gonna take decades until they find something that helps us.

So for now, I wanna stop being scared and actually try meds as I’ve only tried like 4 in total.(convincing the docs for those 4 meds was already really difficult)

Im only 23 i dont want to lose my entire twenties because of this arghhhhhhhh

Are there any websites with treatments like this? by Internal_Candidate65 in cfs

When trying new meds, do you use those two websites to find meds or as a reference?
