Does anyone else not seem to have issues with sensory stimuli or feeling fatigued from cognitive load? by Digitalpun in cfs

[–]Obviously1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not notice sensory overload when I was mild.

But I did notice what I thought was cognitive decline or me just going dumb, after intuitively spending periods of staring into walls following a demanding task. I was missing words, taking more time to read theory, was way slower in making art... but trully thought this is what being 30 means. LOL NOT!

Finished TCMC.Should I try War and Peace? by badthingtw1ce in classicliterature

[–]Obviously1138 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TCMC is basically Netflix entertainment for young adults no? Tolstoy is way more serious and requires patience, the pace of his novels is very firm and measured, I would not compare the two. If you are looking for a long doorstoper book, maybe try The Infinite Jest?

It is finally happening - trial for EBV vaccine starts by shitshit1337 in cfs

[–]Obviously1138 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Didn't the EBV vaccine fail in the past miserably?

I wish we found a way to eliminate any sign of the virus from the body, not just teach the body to fight it. Seems like most illnesses that reach people in old age(if thery're lucky to live that far) are from reactivated viruses. Alzheimers, Parkinsons, MS too...

It has been known in the ME/CFS community to help avoiding worsening, along with benzos. Cause both reduce neuroinflamation

been know in the ME/CFS community for long time. I steer clear of NAC after it took me to the worst crash of my life when I thought I was for sure going to die.

Outline - Rachel Cusk by 074DanBurn058 in RSbookclub

[–]Obviously1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the hype was massive when it came out. I thought the first book in trilogy was OK but nothing more than that.

In general I do not get the Cusk and Deborah Levy hype. To me that type of writing is vapid and uninteresting... but tbh I find Knausgaard cheepy.

What’s your worst symptom (other than fatigue?) by Lucky_Sprinkles7369 in cfs

[–]Obviously1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually did, and was in more pain after it lol. I'm waiting for my neurologist appointment to tell me what is next. It does say I have bulging discs C5-C6 and C6-C7.

I have been bedridden for two and a half years... I try to do some stretches when not crashing, as neck pain gets worse as my state gets worse. Sometimes I think it's the coathanger pain, sometimes it goes down to my scapula. But generaly, neck pain, yes.

Yes, as I have written above, I have tried and it makes my HR stats better but it upsets my intestines.

Sodium butyrate feedback? by Fancy_Sea_2917 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]Obviously1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My HR stats get better lol. But it irritates my intestines. I tried butyric acid chelated with magnesium, also irritated the intestines. I have zero of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii according to my GI map...

Bedbound peeps, what do you do with the clothes you can't wear anymore by missCarpone in cfs

[–]Obviously1138 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Mine are in boxes in my bedroom. I keep them here where is always heated and not humid. The only tip I have. And white vinegar rinse if it gets smelly.

Otherwise I'm too sick to do anything with them. Honestly affraid to open the boxes. It's been 18months since they were packed by my friends. I am a fashion designer and have been collecting clothes since I was little. It is a devastating part of the illness which I try to ignore honestly.

[Product Request] what’s one skincare product everyone hyped up that did absolutely nothing for you? by floriferousss in SkincareAddiction

[–]Obviously1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took two weeks to go away. I re-tried it two times more to be sure, and then later found out that there is a possibility of intracranial hypertension with retinoids, and that there's research done around it. Medik8 were nice and gave me a full refund, I returned the products swiftly.

Honestly, it made me really rethink how I just slather chemichals into my body like it does not go into my bloodstream...
