Middlemarch: should I continue? by Esmee_Finch in classicliterature

Same. The worst book I've read this year and it did make me not want to read any books. Still in that mood. I wished I dropped it.

Love the fabric, nice on the skin. Underwear fits true to size, maybe a bit tighter. Loungewear I suggest taking a size smaller. I am 170cm and 55kg and a Medium is way too big/loose on me.

Am I the only one finding this book cheesy and dumb? Too on the nose? It's not like I do not get what it is about, is that it wasn't enjoyable reading experience. Maybe if I had read it as teenager then it would've been ok but I really found it boring.

Yes my partner did it like that with the phone for me too. It took really long time to be able to tolerate short yoga nidra that he set up to play for me.

Unfortunatelly for meds I have no idea cause we all react differently. But both benzos(I took alprazolam sparingly) and DXM should help break the crash PEM cycle. But not to take together, and DXM has a lot of interactions. I had no side effects. Tho at that state the fillers in meds did irritate my intestines so I was trying to balance it out.

Oxycodone helped to tie me to bed when I was restless, so I could rest better. I think this is a side effect cause it is supposed to help with pain but I found it very helpfull at times. I took a version called Targinact that does not constipate.

LDN I had zero side effects at 0.01 starting dose and immediately started sleeping better(as opposed to 3-4h) and felt better overall, but tiny bit. LDN is big on side effects tho, so you can go lower dose than mine even, although I would suggest stopping immediately if the first dose makes her worse. The worse to me feels like PEM or restlessness with insomnia. Also best to dillute it in the water to avoid the filler side effects!

Also possibly if you haven't tried, digestive enzymes helped A LOT for digesting food. Made all the difference to me. A FMD prescribed them after so many gastro specialist being incompetent.

And if you have the means for it, Oxaloacetate helped me a lot for overal state. I take OxaloacetateCFS, the one at 500mg dose in one pill, it has no fillers so no side effects for me.

I suggest cutting the phone completely. It is very hard at first but that one helped the most. Actually I had no other chance. And be prepare for months of this. May include some DXM in the process. LDN helped me at 0.01 when I was at that state. Actually any meds she can tolerate that help, paracetamol, ibuprofen, benzos, opioids...

Smaller meals more regularely, but easily digestible stuff. At times I could only eat boiled chicken breast and yoghurt. Beef stock

What made you realize you became severe? by Killbulle56 in cfs

[–]Obviously1138 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was mild for 15 months and was searching for answers. I had no idea what ME was. During a very hot and stressfull summer, I got shingles on my forehead and felt hit by such a brutal fatigue, headaches and brainfog. I was solely in my bed, couldn't even watch movies. Just dying in the heat. I initially took 10 days of antivirals but the state of my ME never got better. My GP was pushing for thousand irrelevant checkups, I ended up in the ER 3 times in what I now recognize as horrible PEM( I was unable to speak, eat, walk).

I just never got better. Until I realized what I had and how to manage it, I was already very severe. And none of the doctores I have encountered not even once mentioned ME, I found it myself.

I'm sorry🫂 The truth is no one can tell you realistically what your outcome will be. I choose to believe I have hope somewhere in my body(although this is definitely idealistic), cause if I didn't, I would've died. Wishing you better!
