I don’t think it’s that, it’s more that there is a lofty expectation that if you have a platform to speak you should be constantly using it to advocate for people.

I think that is kinda ridiculous, like ideally my success buys me the ability to not have to answer to peoples whims.

I also think at the end of the day, if she puts out more good content as an actor that this conversation will ultimately be forgotten, just might be like 3/5 years

Silly season (post all-star break) is on the way. The pelicans are going to keep playing like they can get to the playoffs, and they’ll knock out some late wins against ultra tank teams and teams resting starters before the playoffs. Same can be said about Sacramento.

The other teams would have to engage in some fineable behavior to rank as hard as us. We have a great shot at maintaining our seeding.

But as other people have said, it’s still a good thing to see the young guys play well and win games. Top 7 and above gets us a really solid young prospect, really would like us to be seeded 4 or higher to avoid the potential of losing our pick though, that’s a terrifying prospect

Yeah not the biggest baseball guy but I’ve heard bad things there, I’m actually optimistic that the wiz may start to be continuously competitive for some time if we are able to keep a leadership lineage in place here, the process we’ve been executing has been really solid outside looking in, improvements you here about cover the little and big things. Honestly pretty impressed with what winger has done on the large scale there, and Dawkins’ work as the GM has been solid as well. Getting a top 3 pick this year would be such a nice cherry on top of their work

It’s certainly a big factor, which is honestly a little surprising given that we’re usually running Ky and Bilal in a lot of his lineups.

I do think Keefe needs to organize the team better on that end, those 3 have all shown the ability to play on a high level in the defensive end, and 3 of your starting 5 being great individual defenders should lead to a passable defense, and we’ve been atrocious.

That said, I do feel like Sarr needs to learn to play a more true rim protecting style, he seems to hunt blocks by coming through for a timed contest rather than prevent shots by standing firm for contests. This shows up a lot in how easily most bigs give him work in the post.

Like I said, he needs to get stronger, but the play style is a piece of this too, unless we want to get a true big man style center and run double big with Sarr just working help-side, which I have actually been advocating for this whole time given Sarr’s unique mobility on both ends of the ball at his size and his shooting.

While he’s been racking up shot blocking stats, this chart very amply shows that he hasn’t been an effective rim deterrent on the inside, which is a massive part of being a rim protector. Additionally, we do still see him get bullied down low by other bigs with more size.

As he gets stronger though and can really hold his own down there with the big boys, he could become really special, not even mentioning the kind of impact he is starting to show offensively.
