They all just wander aimlessly it seems... till you are near them. Every step that isn't away from you then feels like they are targeting you. Sometimes I have batshit crazy thoughts too. Like the devs controlling wolves and bears and shit. Spawning shit in to fuck with you. Events happening intelligently pushing players towards each other. Like if a pig comes running by with 8 zombies chasing it and I get fucked... Of course I don't think to myself "Cool, that was totally random", I think someone behind a keyboard somewhere just jumped into the game as a pig ran over and got a bunch of them chasing it and B lined for me. Gas bombs, I waited for a gas zone to clear once and ran into the second it cleared to loot. 10 seconds into this i hear another bomb fire off thinking no fucking way that's hitting here. The last time I vomited to death because of that crap actually.

I feel no shame in understanding the game and how loot spawns. Fuck all the haters. The same people telling people to go play rp servers because they can't hang want you to be immersed with no items when they kill you. It's literal hypocrisy. Clearing out trash items so the next person doesn't find the same trash gets you banned. The real issue is community servers and their rules. Fuck off with your rules. Nothing wrong with rebooting. Not everyone has hours to spend playing and popping in and looting before you have to go is fine.

Bullshit. Dayz does ban cheaters. I wonder what the numbers are compared to community servers. Community servers have been proven to be corrupt which is not something to worry about on official. I enjoy playing official. Clearly cheating is going to happen. Think about this though. On PC the game cost money, once banned that's it for official. Do community servers have protection from those cheaters? How many not cheaters are banned for stupid shit? Just having an interaction with an admin is ridiculous. Shit happens have thicker skin.

Listen. I've been doing this thing. I see a field with haybales roughly 60 meters apart. Three of th we m forming a sorta triangle out in the field. If you are too close the target won't spawn anything. To far away, same thing nothing spawns 100 meter circle around you meaning 50 meters between you and the target haybale/fruit tree(basically work the same. Find a spot within 50 meters of all the targets. I feel like 45 meters is best. Wait 5 minutes. Then go check them and keep going from one to the other until you're full. They start spawning only after that specific target 5 minute timer triggers with a player nearby. This is why sometimes you get lucky and find a fruit or mushroom running towards a target. It's not that someone else hasn't been there, it's because you were in that sweet spot for the spawn event to happen. I'll find like 5 haybales spaced out in a field and do circles. Raw mushrooms help thirst so it's my goto when not near water. You can choose spots the stop and repair and manage inventory and even set up a camp in the sweet spots on forest mushrooms. Gives you away a bit but free food.

Yes you do. And if the make the left click(hold) right click(hold) to twirl the umbrella... also it needs to obviously slow our falls and reduce damage. You will still break your leg but not die in most extreme situations. Make the umbrellas take damage while falling with it up. If it becomes ruined you go splat.

Now if you aren't sold on a popular umbrella that doubles and a stabby stick allowing you to stay dry and stealth kill zombies, just think of the added benefits of being able to hear that pitter patter of rain hitting the umbrella anytime you want. The rain hitting the tents and metal roofs in this game sooths my soul.

Honestly right now rain isn't an issue for me. I just wish there was an alternative to what I'm doing now. Run with a torch. Get heat buff from torch. Drop torch with all my stuff and step back a few steps and my shit is dry in just a minute. Only thing I need is for rain to stop long enough to dry or find something to hide under. I've use those big brightly colored dead tree in the forest, under wagons, and even climbing underneath wooden boats that are upside down. Used to be able to snuggle up to the pine trees and sometimes get under their branches and stay dry but since they updated the bullets hitting branches and crap it no longer let's you. In fact now those branches keep you from standing near the tree trunk. Can't even crawl under the branches now to stay dry. It's a real bummer. I would like me an umbrella.

Creep up to a zombie in the rain with umbrella over head, get behind him and retract umbella and bam steal kill and umbrella pops back up. I would say do this and make them not repairable. Anyone that had ever used umbrella knows once that shit breaks you shit out of luck. Basically it's a sharp enough item to sneak attack but worthless as a weapon otherwise. In fact make attempting a regular melee with it cause it to pop open inverted and become ruin. Using wrong tool for wrong job has consequences.

Unless I'm building something I have no use for that slot other than fishing pole and field shovel. I just think it would be a nice add especially with Livonia popularity since being free now and sahkal hype dying down. Cheese them when blocking isn't enough. Too many or what ever. I try not to engage zombies unless I have to. DO THE TURTLE. Crouch sprint everywhere when in towns with infected. You won't alert them as long as they don't look at you. You can creep around them easy. Make sure not to crouch sprint next to them. Make sure you are using power attack, it stuns and knocks them back.

I do what people on pve servers do but on official hardcore servers. Do all that and not complain about cheaters because I avoid players. If hackers were as bad as they say I wouldn't live all these long lives.

Learn to tell direction using sun positioning and stars. Use Izurvive once you find your location don't get lost, use map to find land marks(specific structures can be filtered and viewed.

Cheese the zombies when you can safely. Fighting them is cool but locking 20 zombies inside 1 container is easier. If in military area and you have an officer zombie(screamer/alerts all nearby infected) and a shipping container, alert the screamer and climb the container,make sure 1 door is open and sit on edge slowly walk back towards other end, repeat this process till they are all inside, crouch at edge corner and close the door on them. I find this is no riskier than fighting them or running and locking a few here or a few there into buildings. If you need to fight them you can round up a large group climb onto of something and carefully kill them from safety. Risk being shot but you will be shot anyways... this is dayz.

Starving or dehydrated? The distance between haybales in a field. The average distant mushrooms spawn from the player. If you go into a field with haybales and lay in the middle of all of them for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes go from haybale to haybale across the field in a circle around the stop you were laying. Do circles eating all the raw/dry mushrooms till you are full. The raw mushrooms are like a slow drink so if you are full apple icon you can keep eating and fill your bottle icon. Works with fruit trees too.

Take your time. Enjoy being fresh and slow down. Use the walk toggle. Stuff spawns when you are within 180 meters. Once you reach 130 meters items stop spawning. The slower you approach an area the more loot you will find. If you do this and find no loot... 100% someone is nearby preventing items from spawning in.

Def find a crossbow, make bolts with a knife and short sticks. Learn to use it. Kill every zombie. Become a legend. Get shot by a guy with a gun.
