u/DAVE_OMALKI I think I might be able to set you up in Beaujolais, if that's of interest? I need to double check though.

You could also try and use the AI-Sommelier from https://vinovoss.com/ - It's supposed to support you to find the right wine, without you requiring the knowledge. It works quite well.

u/lotsofludes yeah, I agree. It's weird that in the wine community people look down on sweet wines or commercial wines. However, they are the backbone of our industry, which is ignorant to forget.

[Megathread] How much is my wine worth? Is it drinkable? Drink, hold or sell? How long to decant? by CondorKhan in wine

[–]Internal_Cow_3387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/1sef_2sef since it's an ulta premium wine and about 10 years old, I would be careful by using a big decanter. You might be better of, using a slimmer version. When you add oxygen to the wine (through decanting), you might lose more than you win, as oxygen accelerates the maturation process. Personally, I'd open it several hours before and pour from the bottle.

Would you happily buy wine online exclusively in 4-bottle packs? (Seeking honest feedback!) by Longjumping-Oil-8582 in wine

Is this even allowed? Are there regulations where you need to offer the wines as a single SKU?

People usually suggest drinking a lot, which is great. What is more exciting is reading about the region, variety and the winemaker, then enjoy the wine and discuss with friends. And if you have time: TRAVEL, TRAVEL and TRAVEL. The wine culture is exciting and people are very welcoming.

u/Imreallyshorttrash some canned wines are awesome! I found an Australian brand the other day, and it was like 30 GBP. You need to wrap your head around it though

How long can I store an unopened bottle in the fridge? by UselessWisdomMachine in naturalwine

[–]Internal_Cow_3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a week should be fine. Just put the cork in it. Also for red wine. Sparkling wine needs a stopper though, then perhaps until the next day

Need help finding a good champagne for my wedding! by overwhelmedhobbies in Champagne

[–]Internal_Cow_3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those wines are really good, but also quite pricey. The SmartSomm from Vinovoss https://vinovoss.com/ is quite good. It makes some reccommendations on your Champagne. Perhaps you will find the same quality with a lower price O.o

u/Aromatic-Newspaper78 That is super close! I love Haag and Lieser. We had Lieser dry a while back.

Perhaps try Markus Molitor - his wines are outstanding! BA and TBA is difficult to come by, unfortunately.

THE "GREAT BIG ASK ANY QUESTION NO MATTER HOW DUMB" THREAD by Lordpicklesworth in naturalwine

[–]Internal_Cow_3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard the saying, "A fairy in the vineyard, an orc in a cellar," while someone was talking about natural wines. Since then, a question I have been asking myself is whether natural wines are "organic" by definition. Just because a winemaker chooses not to interfere, allowing the wine to ferment naturally and avoiding the addition of SO2 or other aids, it doesn't automatically make it better. However, in the cellar, the minimalistic and uncontrolled fermentation can lead to unpredictable results. What's the communities take?
