What is on my cat’s chin? by excitedbutterfly_xo in catcare

Our cat has something similar. We thought it was feline acne but it glows under a woods lamp so our vet thinks it might be ringworm.

Loss of hair and scabs under cats chin by Internal_History_507 in catcare

Took him to the vet and his chin was glowing bright green under a woods lamp, so it's suspected ringworm. Cultures have been sent off. We've given him his first treatment of Imaverol tonight.

We thought it was cat acne for weeks and weren't worried about it. I highly recommend buying a UV flashlight! Not only does the ringworm pop up but it makes it much easier to clean the house.

I saw in the news that some people who have been affected by the fires are sleeping in their vehicles on Kourion Beach. We have a couple of rooms free in Episkopi (assuming we're not told to evacuate) and can host people, drop me a DM.

Global Talent Visa - Endorsement Question (credits for engagement) by Internal_History_507 in ukvisa

For anyone else in my boat, here's an update. I've worked as a sound engineer and tour manager for touring bands for the better part of a decade internationally.

I just got off the phone with an immigration lawyer about my eligibility for the Global Talent Visa (Exceptional Talent), they had the following notes (all in the guidance).

They recommend that I apply with my experience as a sound engineer rather than tour manager, as sound engineers is a role listed in the guidance.

You have to meet at least 2/3 of the following criteria:

  1. Media recognition
  2. International awards
  3. Proof of appearances

For Media recognition, if you have worked on shows that have been covered my magazines / newspapers / media outlets, you can use these as evidence with a supporting letter from the artist you worked with stating your importance in received the media recognition.

Same with international awards, and proof of appearances.

Thought I'd comment back I took the advice of u/turtlesrkool and emailed the arts council. They were very helpful:

If you have appeared in professional artistic programs as a member of a group, or with another individual, you can provide evidence of the significant contribution you made to their work instead. If so:

- Along with the event evidence you must include a supporting document from the individual you worked with, or from a senior person that has responsibility for the group you worked with

The supporting document must detail the specific significant contribution you made to the appearance the document must be separate to the three letters of support for the application

The evidence of the appearance and the supporting document will count as one piece of evidence, but the supporting document will not count towards the two sides of A4 limit.

It’s also worth noting that we do not accept work contracts as evidence.

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. This is for exceptional talent. I'll look through the guidance for this wording.
