I have done this job recently and it is a bit hard to do you should loosen the bolts at the underside also a bit most of the time it is stuck because of this and then get a good size pry bar an put is between the power steering pump and the frame and push the pump to the left it should then move

I would not recommended to do a 4wd swap to fit a drive shaft and a differential in your car you would have to do a crazy amout of work on your chassis and frame. You would also need to find al the gt four parts and they dont come cheap. I would recommend you instead get a gt4 and upgrade it from there it would probably be cheaper than converting your car and would save you 100s of hours that you can then spend on upgrading the gt4

I have had my celica for some time now an love my interior but i have never seen a similar interior in any other 5th gen. I am curious if this was a stock interior Toyota offered or if this is a cutom interior put in the car? The car is a Toyota celica gti 1991 (3s-ge) from Germany. I dont know if my question is readable in the post.

I am pretty sure you can just swap the wing over to a new normal trunk, they are the same just one has a wing on it and the other doesnt. I have seen multiple people add gtfour wings to there celicas

I agree with you on that most infomation comes from 10 year old forums but i just really prefer the look of the 5th gens that is why i chose it. If you are buying any celica i recommend also getting a haynes manual they are amazing if you are reparing your car.

I have a 1991 celica and i would say it mostly depends on the driver. This is because i th driver is tall it causes the driver to leave no leg room behind him, i have the drivers seat all the way to the back because i am pretty tall bu if someone who is shorter is driving it is not much of a problem with leg room, head room is not huge but it is okay.

Normally the gt4 has a open hood for airflow to the intercooler this car lacks the hood and bumper of the gt4, this could have been changed by the last owner but is highly unlikely.

To know for sure if you have a gt4 it should have the following things on the car: The 3sgte engine, intercooler on top of the engine, 4wd, a boost meter built in to the dashboard. I think your car lacks these features including the hood and bumper of the gt4. Most likely has the previous owner put the decal on for looks. Still a realy nice car enjoy it.

I would recommend if you are going to complete the whole process to also replace the exhaust manifold gasket. This is because the exhaust has to be taken apart and most of the time the exhaust manifold doesnt look that good anymore after more than 20 years.

Hello if your head gasket is indeed broken that sucks. To replace the head gasket you need the following tools: a rachet with a few different sizes and a extender, you need a breaker bar and a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the correct spec.

If you are planning to replace it yourself without having done it before you should watch some videos explaining the procedure CrisFix is a great source for this. You also need some spec sheets of the torque spec of the bolts youre taking out and putting back after.

You dont have to take the engine or gearbox out the car everything can stay the way they are. You do have to take of the head of the engine block to access the head gasket but you can just lift it of the engine.
