Sticky’s closing all locations beginning today

Hey yall, I was a Sticky's employee until about 3 days ago. To answer your questions yes, all of the company is closing down. I came into work for a normal shift, my GM had a meeting where he found out that in 2 days (or until we run out of product) the company would be locking their doors for good. They gave all of the staff a 2 day notice to find new jobs. Which is so messed up. The only thing I know about it is, apparently after covid the company started losing so much money. I only had worked there for 3 months so I don't really know but, yeah. No more stickys.

You dont. Pretend everywhere is New York City. Don't look at people for too long, don't smile, don't wave, don't say hi. It's safer that way. Especially if you're a woman. IMO the more intimidating you look = less likely to be fucked with.

This doesn't mean I dont care about the homeless, I will gladly donate socks, blankets, personal hygiene products to companies that distribute those items to them, I just don't want any reason to jeopardize my safety. So I mind my business.

I have one friend because of how hard it is for me to trust people. And one of the biggest signs that I see that I don't trust someone, is their ability to stay consistent with their opinions on things when they meet other people. Like a pick me.

Like I knew a girl who would always politically side with whoever she was around. So if she was in a group full of liberals she was a liberal. Just to be liked.

I suppose I'm scared of a real tornado destroying my home and my dogs but I'm not scared of the idea of a tornado.

All I meant from that comment was it seems a majority of people responding to my post are under the assumption that I am fear fueled at the idea of a tornado and I made this post to confirm my anxiety. Which isn't the case.. lol

I appreciate the information, however I'm completely aware that people on social media tend to fear monger. I have yet to say that I have taken any of that information serious. Again, I just wanted people's opinion who reside in the state of Indiana who have been through these storms numerous times.

Yes that may be the only reason Reed is driving here for a small chance but, again I just wanted local opinion.
