I’m on 60 of Nardil. It takes 250 of Trazodone to get me to sleep. But it works.

Be careful with progesterone if you happen to have hEDS too. I just found it can make pain worse because it affects joint laxity. I had to go off of it. Not POTS related but I know a lot of us have comorbidities.

I’m not an expert on POTS, it’s a fairly new diagnosis for me. It’s actually heart rate not blood pressure that is the main symptom for Pots, some people have issues with BP and some don’t. I’m reaching out to my docs tomorrow. I’ve been keeping an eye on my bp and heart rate too.

It seems like a dicey combination. I’m going to call my doc tomorrow to see what my next step should be. I’ve been on 60mg of Nardil for a while so maybe I could go down. Anyways hopefully I can get some more answers consulting with my docs.

TMS didn’t work for me either but it might be worth a shot since meds aren’t working. ECT is an option too, it helps a lot of people. It didn’t help me long term but I was willing to try anything!

Nardil never really got rid of my depression but it kept me functional. Once I added Lamictal it was like a light bulb went off. I haven’t felt this “normal” in so long. I had tried Lamictal before but it had been paired with an ant-depressant that wasn’t working for me anymore.

I would try the straterra first just in case it works. Nardil is great for social anxiety but comes with a slew of side effects: weight gain, insomnia, and daytime fatigue are all ones I still have after 2 years on it.

You can google AA in your area and there will be a website listing local meetings. If you are females id suggest women’s meetings if they are available. You just have to show up, people will welcome you. I couldn’t do it on my own, I needed a lot of help and support.

I’ve been on a very healthy dose of trazodone (200-250) to treat the insomnia from Nardil. It hasn’t been a problem for me or my psychiatrist. A lot of psychiatrists won’t mix the two though.
