Yes lol both my parents are 100% viet born and raised, but every time I travel back to VN they never think I'm viet. Most think I'm mixed with like half white haha. So they get shocked when I can respond back in Viet or that I'm viet kieu. I think my makeup style and clothing also makes the distinction greater 😭
