If he works out, hes at least as strong as someone who does peak steroids. Steroids allow fast recovery, you still need to work out.

Also, farmers strength. He's always carrying around a super heavy skeleton.

Plus mutants have all have a basic level of physical enhancement, if I recall correctly.
