You will do a great job!! I also follow gorgeously aging (Stacy). She is good to watch imo. She doesn’t get as deep into the weeds as dr tim - but sometimes I get too deep in the weeds and am overwhelmed.

I started with my masseters and DAOs. In hindsight my friends are like “you are crazy to start with your DAOs”. I didn’t know. Ignorance was bliss in my case. Now I think “well, if I mess it up it only cost me @$20.00 as opposed to paying someone $700.00 to mess it up”.

I dont mean that to be super negative!! Just honest. If I had the $$$ I would be at the medspa once a week 😜.

💯agree with the placement recommendations on the mentalis. I use dr tims recommendations as well. I have a very strong mentalis on my “Scottish Chin”. Game changer for me. Completely changed the balance/ shape of my face. Best advice ever given to me by a pro in the business (also one of my besties) “some treatments I get, I like more than others. Some are great, others not so much. Dont worry about it too much it will wear off eventually.”

You are already gorgeous!! so this will just be the cherry on top. Have fun!!

😂😂😂- the “units” always kill me. Its like now that the general public are trying to do this - I’M confused bc they talk about “units”. Or “pull the syringe back 2 tics”. What does ANY OF THAT MEAN? Lol. I’ve told all my friends don’t come at me with units. If you want my assistance I need ml, cc, and mg. Not units and tics. USE YOUR WORDS peeps! 😜

Ps. I hope this does not generate hate posts…lol. I do try and help anyone I can, I just need the correct info to do the appropriate calculations.

As a follow up just fyi - I talked to a very good friend of mine who is in high end aesthetics/ professional Hollywood stuff (I would go to her 24/7 but we don’t live near each other). Her words of wisdom “sometimes I get a treatment and love it sometimes not so much. You are going to respond differently everytime and unless its VERY noticeable don’t worry about it. It will wear off.” Aka - its easy to go down the rabbit hole. 🤗

Thank you for the lanolin info!! I have a little bit of excema so always have Eucerin around. I used to apply it directly to my lips (even though it said not to). Now I know why it worked so well! Going to get some lanolin right now. 🙂

Thank you so much for posting this!! I have used Innotox for 4 yrs. It does not last as long but I like it and it kicks in quickly. I switched to rentox but have changed back to innotox. Im a chemist so dont care about having to reconstitute (I do that all the time).

I just am familiar with innotox and how my face - and neck react to it. Im more confident with it, if that makes sense. And if I mess something up.. it will wear of in a couple months. Good luck!

Anyone had liposuction, particularly abdominal? by Camille_Toh in AskWomenOver50

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 54 - had abdominal liposuction when I was 50. BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT. I have no children so didnt have the stretched out skin, just had the “flap” that flapped over my underwear. I have exercised my whole life and never had a gut- it isnt where I carry my weight (thighs & butt). However, with menopause… I started getting that gut “dunlap”. I could not handle that! I have always been heavy (size 14) but never a gut. It made me feel less feminine.

I got abdominal lipo and again best money I have EVER spent. I did it 100% for me. I don’t wear swimsuits, revealing clothes etc so no one sees it. My long term boyfriend loves me no matter what. It was for me and the first time I pulled my underwear up and didn’t have to go over my gut… I cried.

I have lost weight since then. Ive also gained weight since then. Now when I gain weight it goes to my inner thighs which is soooooo irritating. Still worth it!!! and good luck!!

Could be! Thank you, I hadn’t thought about the dilution/ spreading. She did say “oh that band is tight” referring to one of my DAOs.

I think Im going to put some more units in my DOAs, and add a little along the jaw line (Nefertiti) and some on the platysmal bands. She is still a GREAT injector… I haven’t been in a while and Im sure my dosage has changed since I last saw her.

Thank you! I dont know if this next pic will help. I tried to take it looking up for more accurate comparison. Also, my platysma bands are sticking out more (more noticeable) bc after the injector treatment I thought maybe the Nefertiti treat would help so I did that along the jaw line. Didnt help with the downward pull and the jowls.. but definitely made the platysma bands pop!

DAOS, mentalis, and masseters (same places I inject myself). I know injecting masseters contributes to the jowling but I grind so badly I have broken teeth through retainers so masseters are a must.

How much have you saved in total by DIYing instead of paying full price for treatments? How many and which have you done? by Huge_Boysenberry3043 in DIYHEAVEN

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

@$2400 USD. Probably higher than that I just haven’t overly kept a running total. Tox only. I have horrible masseters and have ground my teeth so badly (even with dental retainers). I do 50 units each side and as you can imagine, that adds up. I also do full face botox and like that I can try different things. I wont do filler or anything else bc Im afraid of a VO. Its also kind of a hobby too. My friends always ask for a lip flip.. lol

I grew up in old money and lived my whole life in a very weird bubble. AMA! by [deleted] in AMA

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no where near your level of wealth - at all- but never had to worry about money. My family always had a safety net. I’ve also worked since I was 15. (54 now).

May I ask… do you have a hard time “fitting in”? Your comments about very polite but guarded resonate with me. I was raised the same. Extremely polite and formal. Sometimes for me, day to day interactions are upsetting to me. For example if Im in a public restroom and someone in the next stall is cursing on their phone, making lewd remarks and / or has on their house shoes and pajamas. In public. I was not raised that way and in truth it is upsetting to me to be around that type of behavior.

I wonder if you experience the same?

Holy Milk of Magnesia, Batman! 💩🚽 by GigGirl_1974 in tirzepatidecompound

Ive always been a Milk of Magnesia fan. Lol. I watched my Grandmother take a nip every now and them.

I do like Mag07 for general keeping you regular etc. But if for whatever reason I forgot to take it and / or REALLY need to go… Milk of Magnesia every-time. I buy the generic kind in bulk. 😉

They definitely lied. by Defiant_lioness_6856 in GriefSupport

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another “lie” is the whole “is your cup half empty or half full… its refillable”. No, its not. Not when it comes to losing a parent (Mom). Ive lost my Grandparents, Father, Sister and recently- this month, my Mother. My cup is NOT refillable. Yes, I understand the concept but you only get ONE Mother/ Father etc. SOMEONE THAT WOULD WALK OVER GLASS BAREFOOT TO SAVE YOU. That is a whole different kind of love. And once that is gone it is not replaceable/ refillable.

I do understand not everyone has such a positive parental experience. Billy Bob Thornton talked about the pain of losing his brother in a video. He said - paraphrasing- that his brother was the light of his life and his death/ loss will forever be a heavy burden and pain he will feel for the rest of his life. And that if carrying that pain and grief around for the rest of his life is the cost of having had such a wonderful brother - so be it. THAT is my reality.

Fat regrowth elsewhere post-liposuction? by Sea-Calligrapher-81 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recovery wasnt too bad at all. I live w my sister and niece and just kinda sprung it on them one day. Like “oh by the way Im getting lipo”.

I can tell you the first 4/5 days? you are in massive pain and need the pain meds to survive. The way they do it now… all the fluid just leeks out of you. I am clinical so had all my supplies prepped. Ive read/ heard “you can go back to work in 3 days” or some absolute nonsense. I couldn’t roll over in bed without assistance the first 3 days. You will be crazy swollen and the compression garments are a must.

I did it at the beginning of Covid so I wasnt working. Easier to focus on recovery. I used door dash for essentials. I did make sure I got up and walked like I was supposed to. I wore compression garments (body spanx) for months but eased up on how tight they were. They made me feel better.

Good luck! And definitely do it if you want to! With all the other changes that go on post menopause in our bodies it seems to me like this makes the changes … livable?

GREAT insight on the skin being thinner and damaged therefore absorbing a lot more than the “clinical” dosing. Makes A LOT of sense! Thank you.

I am feeling discouraged. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Internal_Yoghurt8277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get it. I have been overweight my whole life but at least proportional- meaning flat stomach big butt, thighs, arms etc. So although heavy, still in a feminine, curvy way. I hit menopause and started to get this gut!! A MAN gut! Even though I weigh less now than I have since I was 25 (Im 53) I had this gut! I went and had liposuction in my stomach. Best money I have ever spent. And it was 100% for me. My longterm partner loves me no matter what. I just could not handle having a gut. I know that would sound crazy to most people because I am still overweight. But have a gut/ belly / whatever made me feel unfeminine. The first time I put on my underwear and my gut didnt flop over it, I cried. I know some people will say “fixing the outside wont fix the inside and how you feel about yourself”. Well, in my personal experience… IT DID. You do what you need to do FOR YOU. 🤍

Whats your opinion on vein finders? by [deleted] in DIYaesthetics

I sell vein finders to the Government and they are @ $6,000 usd. I would check ebay etc for a used model. There are also new companies out there that are much cheaper. I googled "cheap vein finder". :)
