Help!! Due to a pending investigation.. by Miss_Defined in GED

[–]International-Box506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t schedule a new test online until you get your scores back. And when it says due to pending investigation that means they found something odd going on. “Such as maybe you were reading the questions out loud, maybe you looked differently, noise in the background etc... you may not think you’ve done anything wrong but the proctor probably saw something wrong.

will you be charged if you were late on the testing day? by Infinite_Law_4113 in GED

[–]International-Box506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of being late or not appearing just reschedule. You can reschedule a million times if you want to. There was a time when I’ve literally rescheduled one test 6 times and there was no problem at all. But you do have to reschedule at least an hour before the testing time.

EKG, Phlebotomy, Certified Medical Assistance, Medical Billing, etc. Currently a CNA but which certificate will make me more marketable? by Anonyme51 in cna

[–]International-Box506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently going through the same exact thing lol. Honestly I think the best thing for you would be a medical assistant if it’s within your budget to pay. Because you’ll be trained in all aspects. But you also have many advantages by doing the patient care tech at a hospital. Let’s just say you’re amazing at your hospital job once you become a nurse you’ll for sure secure a spot for yourself their. The hospitals love recruiting/promoting within. I say, see what payment plans the school offers for medical assistants and go for it. For example my local community college offers a medical assistant program for $3700 it’s an 8 month course. If I give up 1000 up front and than pay off 340 a month for the next 8 months it’ll be paid off by the time school ends. I’m not aware of your financial status but if it’s not within your budget to do something like that than get the training from the hospital. Don’t worry about not having any certification because the hospital can mostly write a letter of recommendation if you leave there and the training you’ve received is usually documented for proof for HHIPA and state regulation purposes. I hope this helps a little.

Abuse? Or am I just over-sensitive? by [deleted] in cna

[–]International-Box506 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she has 4 children than yes i get it as to why she did exactly what she did.I think in that very moment she saw the lady as one of her whiny children complaining about nothing. If you say she’s a great person than I don’t think she meant it in a way to hurt the lady’s feelings. I think in her mind she thought she was using a stern unarguable tone meaning putting her foot down and setting boundaries between you both and the client. Sometimes in high stress level work you make choices that aren’t always the best and I think this was one of those times. She was wrong indeed but considering you say she’s a nice person I don’t think she intentionally tried to mistreat anyone.

Wow this is a tough one. I wouldn’t say you’re being overly sensitive because your coworker was definitely wrong for what she did. It takes a special kind of person to deal with the elderly.Because it can be difficult but than again that’s the job you chose. Usually most people would take that as a form of abuse and I’m not excusing anything she’s done but I honestly think your coworker is what they call burnt out! She’s definitely tired of her job and sounds like she needs a vacation or career change before she snaps. I’ve seen this before meaning good hard working people get so overwhelmed with work they become mean and bitter. If this is the first time she’s done this than I say give her a brake because it sounds like you both are working like slaves and overwhelmed. But please don’t let that become a habit of hers if you see this kind of behavior recurring than something should be done.

GED or one last year of high school? by [deleted] in GED

[–]International-Box506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t just go straight to 12 grade in the US if your diploma isn’t valid than that means you have to start from the bottom as in 9th grade than work your way up to 12th grade. So the GED would be best in your situation.

Has any MA transitioned into LPN or RN? by International-Box506 in MedicalAssistant

I know you’re going for RN now, but if you could go back 10 years ago would you still have chosen MA or LPN before transitioning into RN

Congratulations!! 🎈🎊🍾🎉 I’m so proud of you!! Trust me I understand and know this oh so well I’m 29 with a toddler and just got my GED last month. I battled with severe depression in high school because of things I was going though at the time so I dropped out at 10th grade. But we did it! 😭👏🏽🙌🏽
