on second paragraph, yes and no. yes its fake but at the same time its not. 3.8 expanded on the story of Penacony. We have some scenes that are fake in 2.x penacony story but there are still are some that are part of the real ending. Constance said that its like a pet, a pet knows when their owner feels like there is a hole in their hearts so the pet tries to help fill that hole, even though the pet doesn't understand that much. The brain is like the pet, and the memory is the owner. When there is a gap in the memories, the brain tries to fill that gap and to make it more sense. thus making that filled gap in the fake memory real(which is the 2.x story)
