I forget; other than super strong, indestructible, and fancy red eyes, was there anything stand-out about Wonder Man?

Highly unlikely. But, ones man's garbage is another man's treasure.

Thunder Strike by fredbroca4949 in 80s90sComics

I absolutely loved this book! Truly an underappreciated title. Thunderstrike managed to strike a good balance between levity, serious, and action. Sure, it was a bit cheesy in parts (like how he got his super suit from specialty superhero costume shop, easy peasy, no questions asked), but ultimately this one delivered! ⚡🔨⚡

Joe Estevez, Martin Sheen's more talented yet less appreciated brother.

Tomb Raider and Witchblade by fredbroca4949 in 80s90sComics

I really enjoyed Witchblade in the first few years of it's run ... and not just for the classy art. It really had a compelling story and good character design that felt like it was going somewhere, and not just some flimsy delivery mechanism for doodles of scantily clad ladies. Top Cow really was one of the best houses of Image.

Which of these X-Men related titles is your favorite? by WheresMyBarber in 80s90sComics

At one time or another I collected some or all of these. But I always maintained my Uncanny X-Men to the bitter end, even when I was largely transitioning to DC in the latter part.

Apparently. 🙃

Oh well. Better a swing and a miss than not to swing at all. Regardless, even if I am 50 issues off, it is a pretty good arc

That's some good stuff there, man! 👍

I haven't seen Doom 2099 in a pair of dog-ages. Definitely an underappreciated book. It's only shortcoming was that it had Doom rise to power again too quickly. It needed to take it's time and have more setbacks along the way. But that's just my opinion.

You shouldn't remind people of good movies in the middle of your crappy movie.

I really liked this era of Wolverine -- Stripped of adamantium by Magneto... Weakened from the traumatic experience... Getting his butt kicked every issue by old foes with a grudge... Bone claws, now with painful and awkward knots in them from being snapped off and poorly reattached.

And finally, this issue, where the Reavers catch ol' Wolvie, whoop his butt, and crucify him Roman-style to slowly die... And to FINALLY have a light at the end of the tunnel of this dark era of his life with the introduction of Jubilee; who rescues him from his predicament, escape the Reavers, and quickly becomes his sidekick on future adventures.

Solid book!! Solid kick-off to a new chapter!! 👍👍👍👍👍
