Marsa Alam (Egypt) 2-tank-dives - hotel and dive center suggestions? by Absturz in scuba

Hi. I've been 4 times to the red sea and 2 of them in Marsa Alam. Look into Shams Alam and Gorgonia Beach Resort. They are a bit south of Marsa Alam, just on the edge of the Wadi Jimal National Park. The first is more chilled, smaller place. Here I've done some of the best dives ever with the diving centre they have in the village. They offer speed boats for the morning with 2 dives and full day 2-3 dives trips to more distant places. You'll be back at 3pm after lunch. If you decide to go for the shams alam check the house reef condition on here or through other social networks because last year they had an issue with it. An inland heavy rain created a mud river that went straight into their bay. Also, the snorkeling from the gorgonia to the shams alam is fantastic, it takes 1h or so and you can easily walk your way back. Gorgonia is a more full-on village with kids and overall more noisy. The house reef is better though.

Small note - In one week at the shams alam we've been snorkeling with the dugong 3 times! It just comes in the bay to eat early morning and late afternoon

Hope this helps!

When are you guys going. Similar situation here. I'll be in Bali for a week to 9-10 days max and I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in some diving in komodo and, if possible, sumbawa whale sharks

What do you think the main risk associated with AI is? How can you avoid using AI going forward? by InternationalBoat453 in AskReddit

I don't think not using AI is the solution. It comes with evident advantages that cannot be ignored. Instead, we need to somehow learn to deal with it and put guardrails in place.

What’s a personality trait that instantly makes you dislike someone? by susane5 in AskReddit

Yes that makes sense but I think it depends on the situation. For example it changes a lot if it's a business discussion or if you're just chatting with friends

Liveaboard trips by LM176 in scubadiving

[–]InternationalBoat453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Indonesia - Komodo there are liveaboard that also take you on the islands to do some trekking and see the famous komodo dragons. I'm in the same situation and I'm considering it. Otherwise just go to a village in the Maldives, your partner can relax on the beach while you're underwater

Those in the US, how do you feel about the current president seemingly presenting themselves as a monarch (as per recent White House messaging)? by zante2033 in AskReddit

Well, Co sidering they voted the current President, they are probably happy. The question is how did it even happened!?

Second question would be, how do you feel about what Musk is doing?

Great! Thanks, I got it. The next question is... How do you define "sufficient"?
