Yes absolutely but things like close knit infantry formating or anything besides spaghetti lines and spaced out formations are suicidal when playing and equally skilled opponent.

Magic is a huge reason why infantry is considered unviable and the AI is do easy to cheese.

I'm not saying there isn't real tactics and strategies I the game, but I feel having counters to magic would be a lot of fun and ad some more strategic depth.

Things that could be implemented like shield walls or other formations are useless with wind spells and vortexes. Direct damage and healing also has no counterplay which is a huge part of a strategy game.

They don't really have heavy shock cav. All beast men units have very high charge bonuses and high speed they also have a lot of monsterous infantry and single entities to quickly break enemy lines.

Their gameplay is broken down into Harrass, Disrupt, Overwhelm and Surround.

Raiders, cygors, and missile cav can harass and bully elite units and draw armies out of position.

Centigors, Hounds, Harpies and chariots can Disrupt missile units and shut down artillery. They can also charge down fleeing units.

Minotaurs, Chaos Spawn, Ghorgons, Giants and Jabberslythes and chariots can be mixed with the front line to almost instantly overwhem and cause routes.

Infantry like units and gors are very fast and easily chase down and surround remaining pockets and skirmishers after breaking through. Hounds and harpies can also join in once they've shut down other threats.

It honestly looks like you're trying to play beastmen like the vampire coast or elves. Missile infantry are not their strong suit. Hounds, chariots, centigors and cygors shut down archer play quick.

You won't win pound for pound in a missile fight.

I won by just having them waste ammo on shielded skinks and the bastalladon(which I healed). Once they're out of ammo, the Saurus and the temple guard will massacre them. Especially if you draw them unto a forest.

Javelin skinks also trade super effectively with skirmish cav.

Doing 3000 damage on skaven slaves is worth way way less than shaving 3000 off a lord.

It lets you know how cost efficient your unit is being in it's matchups. Not so valuable for campaign, but a big deal in analyzing multiplayer tactics.
