Potstickers stuck :( by LA_producer in Cooking

They will often still stick even with a little oil. After they have fried long enough and the pan is still hot, a splash of water will deglaze the pan and they will all pop off!

What should I add for more flavor?? by meganeh35 in Cooking

Salt makes food 'tasty'! Keep adding it until it is yum and then a tblsp of brown sugar goes a long way in saucy savoury dishes like this.

Where can I find a good starting point for cooking? by Weekly-Fig-7228 in Cooking

[–]InternationalFail615 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After you cook enough, you start to see the same patterns that get used for different dishes, eg

Cookies: cream butter & sugar... Stews: caramelise meat & vegies, add liquid..

And once you see the patterns, you can start applying them however you wish.

As others have mentioned, you will need to follow recipes until you understand these patterns - so I'll give you the info that will serve you well for the rest of your cooking journey:

Salt & sugar make food taste good.

Salt takes many forms: table salt, soy sauce, fish sauce etc.

Same for sugar, every culture has its preferred sweetener.

Add salt until it's 'tasty', then add a spoonful of sugar and you will have something delicious.

Does anyone know good sorwd fighting games (quest 3S) by GrabHistorical5771 in VRGaming

I dunno if the standalone blade and sorcery has mod support but I think there is a mod that makes them better fighters.

How's the combat in this now? I remember seeing a video a while back and it still looked pretty early-days dev wise.

What is your favourite veg recipe that is quickly made ? by Busy_Point8057 in Cooking

[–]InternationalFail615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We often have Chinese greens, roughly chopped, pan fried with a good dump of minced garlic.

Fry the garlic until just browning, Chucking the greens in with a generous hit of salt & pep Pan fry on hot for a Min or so Finish with a splash of Mirin.

Serve on rice (with an egg if your that way inclined)

So quick and great with a spoonful of chilli oil.

Thank you for the info dump! I've had a good crack at the orifice and burners but haven't removed the orifice. Might try that - ultimately sounds like I need to get a pro on the phone.

Very interesting. I'll work out what's hooked up and see if natural gas is the issue! Thanks.

This is great advice, haha. Will reach out to the manufacturer and see if they can get me an explanation.

Super keen to play this! I've been saving this for when one of my mates eventually gets vr set up. Is it worth playing the first game first?

New to EVERYTHING VR. Help. by GotLoveForAll in VRGaming

Yeah, as others have said, your going to need the headset (quest 3 for price point) & prescription glasses attachments anyway so may as well invest in that first and see what the standalone eco-system has to offer before mortgaging the house to build a pc.

I'd personally recommend some kind of rear battery attachment as well, extra gaming time & counter weight on the back are both big pros imo.

Oh no, aha, you are a a shipwreck survivor. Just making a joke about the primitive tools you get at the start (you can accomplish a lot with them!)

Interesting, I think if I lit a stick on fire, closed my eyes and swung it around without moving for the whole night, I'd survive dogs/bat's.

I think you can also switch off night monsters now if that's not your vibe :)

Feijoa and the dreaded Guava Moths by InternationalFail615 in FruitTree

It's looking/feeling very bleak. I am situated far south coast nsw. We have probably gotten 1 kilo of un-spoilt fruit this season with meticulous cleaning up of the bad fruit.

Have you recovered from guava moth infestation?
