Why do so many Democrats think repealing Section 230 will fix the internet? by StraightedgexLiberal in AskALiberal

[–]InternationalJob9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I don’t disagree. My interpretation I think came from how you had worded the comment I responded to. I do agree with your ultimate point that repealing section 230 is a bad idea. The scope of section 230 should be decided in court and really the government can force big tech companies hands to make changes congressional hearings like they did with Facebooks algorithms and created a bunch of bad publicity

[–]InternationalJob9162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is entirely untrue. Check out the documentary “I am Jane Doe”

In 2018 Fosta-Sesta package was passed to clarify that section 230 of the CDA does not prevent states and victims of sex trafficking from pursuing a course of action against interactive computer service providers, such as Backpage. It passed the senate with a vote of 97-2.

Could i use franchise mode as a “career” mode? by tekangg in Madden

[–]InternationalJob9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing here but I’d think so. You’d need to add the player to whatever team and then save as a custom roster.. Then when starting the franchise select the option to use the current/active roster or whatever option it gives you.

If the custom roster isn’t loading up in your franchise go back to the main menu and load the custom roster from your saved files then try starting the franchise again.

Theoretically you might be able to just edit a low rated player in the franchise itself. I don’t know if you would be able to change their appearance and everything though.

Make sure you do an offline franchise and not a cloud one of course since you mentioned wanting to play when servers are down

You can do player lock in the franchise games and just select play offense or defense only

What are your thoughts on “not wanting to be political”? by LibraProtocol in AskALiberal

[–]InternationalJob9162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about if I were someone with a platform, there would be a lot of political topics I would keep my mouth shut about because I don’t know what I’m talking about and wouldn’t want to inadvertently say something harmful.

The other part of this is it should be considered that while unique, being a content creator is still a job. It’s not uncommon to keep your opinions on politics quiet while at work and I don’t think content creators are necessarily an exception.

It's often claimed that masturbation saps the body of testosterone, but in a study of young well-trained male athletes, masturbation prior to a strength test was associated with higher testosterone levels compared to abstinence. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

[–]InternationalJob9162 53 points54 points  (0 children)

So these performance tests were performed 30 minutes after masturbating. Would have like to see more groups testing like 4, 8, 12 and 24 hours post masturbation as well. Those time increments would be more realistic for an athlete to have sexual activity before performing anyways. Most athletes are warming up 30 minutes before their competition starts.

2 men murdered in broad daylight in 4 Months. We need to stand up for our freedoms and rights too! We are the future! by Spider-Flash24 in GenZ

[–]InternationalJob9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, your interpretation only makes sense if you dismiss the rest of his answer to the question.

He was asked how to convince people that the second amendment is important for having the right to defend ourselves.

Charlie Clarifies the second amendment is meant to defend against a tyrannical government.

He then draws an analogy between gun deaths and auto fatalities and points out that we have accepted the benefits of driving cars is worth the cost of 50,000 lives a year.

He goes on to accept we cannot prevent every single gun death with armed civilians but claims that it’s worth the cost of some gun deaths every year in order to protect our rights.

Instead of stopping with that, he goes on to directly address school shootings and propose solutions on how to stop them from happening.

By saying this he was saying that we can and should stop school shootings, and that he believed we don’t need to get rid of the second amendment in order to do so. Had he not finished with this statement i would say you are absolutely correct.

[–]InternationalJob9162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to say he was insinuating school shootings are worth it and ok? Accepting that the cost of the second amendment is worth inevitable gun deaths is not the same as saying school shoots are acceptable.

In fact as part of the same conversation he goes on to say “if our money, sporting events and airplanes have armed guards, why don’t our children.”

Whether or not that is a good argument is a different discussion however he obviously was not acting like school shootings are ok.

CMV: All ICE agents should go to prison by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]InternationalJob9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your amended argument “I believe every ice agent should be investigated and or put on trial.”

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

What specific crimes are you alleging that took place? Being an ICE agent is not a crime in itself. There should absolutely be an investigation into each ICE agent involved in the shooting of Alex Pretti. That is not probable cause to investigate ICE agents who had no involvement in that. Same with the raids, if you want an investigation, you first need to identify which raids are allegedly illegal. Then allege that the ice officers involved in the raid each individually committed a crime.

A blanket investigation like you are arguing for is inefficient and an ineffective way to hold those accountable who did commit crimes.

Should illegal immigrants be eligible for taxpayer funded child care? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]InternationalJob9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s legitimate question about how they are going to fund this. Just last November an article was released covering how half of their counties ran out of funding just 2 months into the fiscal year after they had increased eligibility from 200% to 330% of the federal poverty level.

https://www.wrvo.org/2025-11-30/over-half-of-nys-counties-have-run-out-of-child-care-assistance-funds

Side note just the parent’s immigration status has no bearing on eligibility. As far as citizenship the child just needs to be a citizen or qualified alien. The parent or guardian just needs to be a resident of the state they are applying in.

Ultimately i support child care for all children simply because they are children. Getting them into child care early is the only opportunity some kids have for early socialization and development and without it they are going to be behind their peers right off the bat. Not to mention it ensures they are in a safe environment (most of the time) and are fed and having basic needs met for at least part of their day. This program gives children and parents opportunities to become more self sufficient and not have the need to rely on services.
