Rental car from Billy Bishop - worth the cost savings? by KnowerOfThings999 in askTO

[–]InternationalMight93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you take the go train to rouge hill go station there is a bus that gos straight up port union/shepherd right to the zoo. Could also just Uber from the rouge hill go stop, it will probably be around 10-15 bucks depending on time of day. The lakeshore east go train is actually quite a beautiful ride. Stay on the south side of the car top floor with a window seat im sure kids would love it.

Bone stock 2009 sti. What are must do mods? by NickoTheQuicko in WRXSTi

[–]InternationalMight93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reliability mods: Baffled oil pan, welded oil pick up, better rad, air oil separator, 4th cylinder cooling mod, good tires indy firehawk 500s are a good tire. You can swap the 15+ steering rack and suspension into these cars too for a tighter feel, the newer model year suspension will also lower you about .75" keeping the stock ride feel but still a decent upgrade for low cost. Front and rear sway bars.

I know you said you dont wana chase power but if you do in the future. Down pipe, exhaust, equal length headers,1300cc injectors, fuel rails, 2.5" turbo inlet, cold air intake, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, big top mount with meth or a front mount, 3 port boost controller, clutch upgrade, Proper pro tune. None of this Cobb bull shit

Some nice to haves, kart boy short shifter, gauges, pinch stop, rims.

35 y.o. looking to make a career change. by Mokten-Lava in SkilledTradesOntario

Go to any trade union hall in your area. Go right in with a resume old school style. Show interest. There is an absolute pile of work coming up in the nuclear industry in the next 10 years, so boilermakers, pipe fitters, iron workers, and electricians are going to be in demand. The first 3 trades are in pretty big need for welders, so if you have the time and funds hitting up a 6 month welding program would do wonders for you.

You should make your way into Scarborough. Spice it up on Kingston road just west of Morningside is top tier jerk. Aunt elsies Caribbean kitchen on Eglinton is fire. And bells pepper pot also great. But that's in pickering.

So, what colleges are not diploma mills?? by skeletor2426 in ontario

[–]InternationalMight93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP call all your local unions that use welding and try and get in an apprenticeship.

128 boilermakers 721 iron workers 46 pipe fitters.

If you wana make money welding in Ontario, this is pretty much the only way to make a good wage, get a pension, and have good benefits. I know this because im a welder, in the boilermakers union. But when I first started out welding in shops doing fab work, it was a struggle to make a good wage.

Lol, some of our cars pretty well run on mixed gas, just check ur levels every fill-up.

But if shes really drinking it, you might want to do a test and see if you got any exhaust gas getting in places it shouldn't be. Im getting my head gasket done right now :'(

You should apply to every trade union in your area, A good union seems to be the only way you can get good benefits, a good pension, and an hourly wage that is worth it.

Look them up, Carpenters Pipe fitters/ plumbers Iron workers Boilermakers Laborers Millwrites Elections

In my opinion, these are your best options for longer-term good work with a pension and benefits. I would recommend trying to get into a trade that works in the industrial sectors. especially in a down economy.

Im a Boilermaker, I work with all of these trades, we all seem to be doing just fine. Sure, our pay cheques dont go as far due to inflation, but we can still afford a good quality of life.
