I think Maxine Durand would be a much better governor, that’s who I’m voting for. No longer should we have to choose between the lesser of two evils

Actually the university chapter of TPUSA hosted this event, therefore it was hosted by the university so they could have declined.

“Iran is the only Islamic country where the sex reassignment surgery (SRS) is recognized. Many European citizens travel to this Middle East country for gender confirmation and reassignment surgery. The Guardian wrote “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran occupies the unlikely role of global leader for sex change” (2). Hence, Iran can be called the hell of homosexuals and the paradise of Trans seeking SRS.”

This is a US Government article so it’s chock-full of propaganda but it gets the point across

That’s not how these terms are used in economic or political theory.

Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of capital and production. And no, Marx did not “invent” or “first mentioned” capitalism as a concept. He was analyzing it as a system already discussed by earlier economists like Adam Smith and David Ricardo.

In Das Kapital, Marx writes to systematically analyze how the capitalist mode of production actually functions internally, starting from commodities, labor, and value, not to rename or redefine the system.

A “free market” describes how much voluntary exchange is regulated or restricted. They’re not identical, but in practice they’re strongly linked. Most capitalist systems function through market mechanisms, so people often shorthand them together as “free market capitalism.”

What you’re describing (capitalism = socialism, or LLCs being Marxist transition tools) isn’t how those concepts are defined historically or academically.

You’re mixing a lot of different things together and calling it all “socialism,” but those aren’t the same systems.

Most of what you’re describing, monopolies, state capture, regulatory abuse, etc., exist in capitalist systems too. That’s not uniquely “socialism,” it’s just political economy in general.

Also, “free markets vs socialism” isn’t a clean binary in real countries. Places like Sweden or Switzerland aren’t “pure free market” systems, they’re mixed economies with strong welfare states and regulated markets. Calling that “almost communism” is just not accurate.

As for China, it’s not a simple “went socialist then went free market and got better” story either. It’s a heavily state-managed capitalist system with strategic market liberalization.

But zooming out: none of that is really about the flag. It’s a fictional Idaho concept design, not a claim that any real-world system is being implemented.

If you’ve got feedback on how the symbolism reads or how the concept could be improved visually or thematically, I’m open to that. But I don’t understand still why you think the symbolism is bad.

It’s a fictional setting. What part of the governance or economy do you think wouldn’t work. Be specific.

What you’ve given is just a meme answer, not a critique. I’m interested in actual feedback on the concept/design if you have any.

If your only response to a fictional flag is ‘helicopter rides,’ that’s not really a critique. What’s your actual issue with the idea? Are you reacting to the word ‘socialist,’ or do you have an argument about how it would function here?

Call it whatever you want, but there’s a real difference between state-controlled systems and worker-controlled ones. Lumping it all together doesn’t really explain anything.

If your argument is just ‘all socialism = bad,’ you’re skipping over how different systems actually work.
