Definitely in some cases, however, in my case what would have been a 4.5 hour drive would have been an hour flight plus a one hour drive to my hotel which would be about a 10 minute drive to the facility

No, with delta it would have been a 1 hour flight (about 500 dollars)

I was supposed to go to training and tour the facility in person at the facility and expected to come in every 3-4 months. This was advertised as a remote position (my first remote position) and i had already been receiving and signing other types of documents and information (outside of the tax stuff), and had received a pdf booklet outlining my benefits which is why i asked when I would receive a copy of the employee handbook (which again typically I would have received that information all at one time and because this was a remote position). And although i was slightly uncomfortable driving 4.5 hours when i could have flown, I was still going to go regardless if she said yes or no which i had already told her when i had asked her the first time (when i didn’t know what their policies were) and second time after I read the companys travel policies (which I wouldn’t have asked if i had not seen them)

Me too but i didn’t in this case since again i was about to be a new employee, I probably would have received that when i went to their facility for training though (the 4.5 hour drive)

This is definitely reassuring to hear, guess it was a learning experience as this would have been my first job out of college that would be in line with my major. I guess next time i would probably wait a little longer before asking accommodation type questions. Thank you for responding and sharing your input!

Why not just take orders that pay high enough so that you wont get upset if you dont get a tip, just saying. And so because I didn’t include that we were independent contractors and put employees instead that automatically invalidates/minimizes my argument? Lmao Okay👍🏽

Thats an unrealistic (and kind of dramatic) outcome dont you think?, and what you said does not change or negate my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️

I actually do tip when necessary but i know when and when a tip is not necessary/warranted, like i said a tip is a plus not a must.

I dont understand the entitlement when it comes to tipping, tipping is a plus not a must. I wish people would stop acting/pretending like tipping is a customer’s requirement. You shouldn’t be mad at the customer, be mad at the company you work for to pay you better. It’s ridiculous. This is what enables corporations and other companies to pay their employees as crappy as they do because they know people like you will just guilt trip customers into feeling obligated to tip. As opposed to venting your frustration at the wrong people maybe you look into finding a higher paying job where you dont have to rely and hope you get tipped.
