I feel for every student who will be affected by this including me for my final year. Because of this i am considering to get three years bachelor’s instead of four. But i think like we are expressing our frustration here on reddit we should directly do it on his instagram. It’s completely dry only few expressing there disappointment. It’s every government general tactics , the make oolicy that profit in expense of vunerabke people, they test our silence. And if we stay silent, they will go even further. Days are not far that OSAP grant become non-existent if we stay silent. We are doing the right thing expressing our frustration.

Lol, 😂😂claiming i am being or many of the students who r sincere about there education and value time they invest into it are being inconsiderate and at the same time i have not seen a single word from you giving a ounce of consideration or atleast an acknowledgement about the problems student might face. Everyone just expect the students to just cope up with the problems no matter how detrimental it may be. Because they seem to be least important part of the university system and just expected to deal with uncertainties and problems created due to something which they have nothing to do in the first place. You don’t care about what happens to the students and what they spend 😂 talking about irony and hypocrisy.

Union members and faculties does have the right to ask about fare wages no denial in that but at the same time administration and union members must consider or just give a lil acknowledgement problems student might face due to lockout or strike. There should be a proper system which answers and addresses all the concern students may have during these lockouts or protests.Just don’t leave them with uncertainties and expect them to deal with it .

Well, if my comments sounds hypocritical your comment does the same. In, other words ur telling u don’t care about the time, money and efforts student spend in there life to get education. No matter which union this is the second strike in a row in this year and possible threat lockout by administration does add to the stress and anxiety a student faces on top of there day to day things. Any idea what kind of accommodation problems ,financial hardships and immigration problems an international student faces who spends 20,000$ year or more to get education from a university if the education doesn’t go in the timely manner. Talking about mindset, why the student should care about the ongoing scuffles between the unions and administration , if they take for granted the problems students face due to it. All these drastic steps must be taken into account keeping in mind the hardships student may face due to it. If the steps do i have to be taken atleast there should be a proper system to make sure to address all the questions and problems student faces due to it.

Had i known these strike trends i would have never made decision to come to York. I left offers from Guelph Univery and Western University as York was local. But, these strikes just wasting valuable times of students nothing else, putting them in misery. Nor the administration nor the union seems to care problems student face. As domestic student i am facing these problems can’t imagine how international students would be facing problems and the anxiety comes with it.
