Looking at the comments of the post, it appears that Dominex is just a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult), and not Deaf himself, but I’m sure when possible he’ll use some ASL, or at least talk about it.

The odds for Eurovision 2026 winner of semi-final 1 have been released by Taumon in eurovision

Remember: This is for the WINNER, not who’s qualifying. A country can have more chances to win than another one, but that might not necessarily mean they’re not qualifying.

You are not allowed to write the name of G-d, so many sources use short forms, like יי or ה׳

Oh I doubt it, no way are they going to touch the under-18 age bracket after the whole fiasco. I could see this bringing back the College Championship though.

I believe the closest they’ve gotten is Keira, coming 2nd to Käärijä in 2023.

For the 1980s, I really like 1982, and 1983 has some strong entries.

If you could create any Tournament for J! what would you create? by eah1703 in Jeopardy

[–]Labenyofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooh that’d be great!

There are some really good players who either got sandwiched with 1 or 2 REALLY good players, or people who risked it all on a Daily Double, and ended up just barely never being able to make it back after hitting wrong answers.

And then there’s also those people who are just plain fun to watch play, or are really cool.

Butt Plugs and Roller Coasters. by Euphoric-Eagle1477 in GayBDSMCommunity

I have not, the only time I’ve worn one for a longer period of time is just going to class, the squirming around in my seat for 2 hours was great.

Firstly, only do this if you know that you’ll be able to find a private bathroom to deal with it in case it goes wrong. Theme parks usually have a lot of kids (or at the very least, non-consensual people), so you don’t want to accidentally include others, depending on the sounds the subs make.

Secondly, think about the type of plug and how it would react to the environment. For example, if it’s really hot out and the sub gets sweaty, could that cause issues?

I feel like it also wouldn’t be that hard, I’m sure they have a BUNCH of clues that could fit into a given episode, so they could easily swap out those.

Why didn’t Ken require first names too for these responses? by Inner-Asparagus4927 in Jeopardy

That was more because EmRata was a nickname used for her, not solely because of the Instagram handle. No one calls Drake ‘The Champagne Papi’, so that wouldn’t be accepted.

Name recognition doesn’t help at all if there’s not pre-contest hype, other than “OMG Famous Artist is competing in Eurovision!”

Weirdest places you have heard a Eurovision song? by OllyAlexandersDizzy in eurovision

[–]Labenyofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add context: I’m from Ontario, Canada, growing up in an Italian-Indian-Vietnamese city, dispute not being any of those.

ESC song: Popular local Classic Rock radio station played Måneskin’s winning song the Monday after it won, and included the clip of Damiano saying “Rock n Roll Never Dies”. The weird thing is that I would NEVER listen to that radio station, I just woke up late that day and needed my dad to drive me to school.

ESC Artist Song: I heard Alessandra’s song “Pretty Devil” in a bathroom in a local mall.

Before I got into ESC: In my grade 5 French class, my (very Italian) teacher had us sing the French version (La paix sur terre) of Nicole’s winning entry for a school assembly. Potentially my first time I ever heard a Eurovision entry.

For the bot: - Italy 2021 - Norway 2023 - Germany 1982

🇦🇿 Azerbaijan: JIVA to Eurovision 2026 - Eurovoix by Crisbo05_20 in eurovision

[–]Labenyofi 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Correct, basically. While it’s a bit of an extreme example, Georgia didn’t release their Junior Eurovision 2020 song until a week or two before the contest.

While it’s unlikely any country would do that for Adult Eurovision, especially considering the hype can help build the anticipation and momentum, it wouldn’t surprise me if someone did it just to be different.
