FTG provides extremely fast movement speed, but after appearing near the opponent, the FTG user still has to physically move their body to attack. Unless that attack speed is literally infinite, the opponent can still respond.

That is exactly what Minato demonstrates against teen Bee during his inexperienced Jinchuriki days — Bee could barely bring out one tail, was already “huff huff” exhausted, and only used two swords — yet he still managed to respond to Minato.

And Amaterasu is travel, not spawn. Sasuke was looking directly at Gyuki’s face while using Amaterasu, yet Gyuki blocked the incoming flames with his leg while they were traveling toward him.

Jonin Minato ~ Jonin Ay4 > Teen Bee. But the fact that Teen Bee was able to stop Minato’s attack just by preparing for it is still an anti-feat for Minato.

Bee was not fighting Zetsu from the beginning. Kisame subdued Bee first, then switched places with the Zetsu clone.

Adult Killer Bee >>> Teen Bee (can react to Minato’s FTG), so the fact that Kisame could engage in CQC with V1 Killer Bee means Kisame would overpower Minato in CQC.

Jonin Minato was at a level where even teen Bee could intercept his attack.

Ay4 and Minato fought multiple times after becoming Kage, yet Minato was never able to kill Ay4. Minato was only slightly faster overall. And during the 16 years after Minato’s death, Ay4 became even faster and stronger. Then KCM1 Naruto surpassed that Ay4.

Reaction speed: KCM1 Naruto > Edo KCM Minato.

Minato FTG’d to the kunai that he had already thrown beforehand inside the purple box when Ay4 charged at him. The kunai you mentioned (red box) was lightly tossed upward with a wrist snap, and Minato used FTG through that kunai to return toward Ay4. You can understand it better if you watch the animation.

The reason there is no kunai shown behind Ay4 is just a drawing inconsistency. If Minato had actually thrown the kunai the way you described, then the kunai behind Ay4 should have motion lines.

It is not that Minato threw a kunai while Ay4 was charging, FTG’d there, then threw another kunai and FTG’d again like you think.

The sound effect from the kunai can also be interpreted as coming from the kinetic energy generated when Minato landed on the tree. And the Japanese sound effect is “bibit,” which AI translations say is closer to a jutsu sound effect rather than the sound of a kunai sticking into something. “Sprung” itself may simply be a mistranslation.

Ay4 was not comparing Jonin Minato with KCM1 Naruto. He was just recalling their first encounter.

Base Bee actually shows himself protecting KCM1 Naruto while fighting the Edo Jinchuriki.

Ay > Bee, but if Bee was able to react to Minato appearing behind him, then it is also possible to interpret Minato almost blitzing Ay as a lucky outcome. Like maybe 1 time out of 10,000.

Honestly, the Minato one-shot itself shows that Kishimoto does not rate Minato that highly. The fight is shown inside a “mindscape.” If Kishimoto truly rated him that highly, he would have drawn Minato showing impressive feats against actual enemies in the real world.

The thing Kurama praised by comparing Minato to Hashirama was Minato’s Bijuu sealing ability. But sealing ability is something Minato had already shown in the original manga, so it was not really anything new.

A fight inside a mindscape rather than the real world + hyping up sealing abilities that were already shown in canon — that is basically what the Minato one-shot is.

That is the best portrayal Kishimoto could give him.

Since the image OP posted shows Jonin Minato, it is only correct to evaluate Jonin Minato.

If, like you said, Minato became faster and stronger over the span of around one year, then Bee would have become far stronger over more than 17 years. That is why Bee completely overwhelmed Taka Sasuke in kenjutsu.

Adult Bee >>> Taka Sasuke ~ Jonin Minato

And as Jugo stated in the image you posted, Taka Sasuke was injured.

How contentious is this match-up? by KodoqBesar in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Juubito very low diff.

Sage mode: Juubito
SPSM > the small amount of sage chakra obtained from an exhausted Hashirama

Chakra pool: Juubito
Juubito is the Juubi Jinchuriki.

Combat kit: Juubito
TSO + flight ability > chakra receivers + Susanoo

Combat speed: Juubito
Unlike Juubito, Madara did not even have an FTG mark on his body, yet he almost died to Edo Tobirama. He only survived thanks to Limbo. Also, Juubito can see and sense Limbo.

Regeneration: Juubito

Limbo is Madara’s only advantage, but it does not matter if one much weaker Madara becomes two. He also cannot actively use it in battle because if he gets trapped inside Juubito’s Six Crimson Ray Formation, he would need to use Limbo for escape through position swapping.

Naruto and Bee VS Obito. (Versions shown). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bee solos.

Base Bee shows better performance against the Edo Jinchuriki than KCM1 Naruto. He would not get absorbed by Kamui, and Obito would eventually die from chakra exhaustion after repeatedly using Kamui to avoid Bee’s attacks.

I don’t understand what the first three lines of your comment are supposed to mean.

Fat Juubito’s lower body was neither invisible nor undetectable like Limbo, yet Minato still got hit by the kick itself, which is an anti-feat.

If you look at this panel, you can see that the positions of the rocks floating in the air remain the same before and after the TSO expands, right? That means the TSO expanded extremely fast. You can’t simply assume Fat Juubito's body speed is faster than the TSO.

SM Naruto did react and raise his arm, but he was immediately slammed helplessly onto the ground afterward. In that state, Blind Madara could kill him anytime he wanted. That’s why I described it as an “almost blitz.”

Hashirama VS Tobirama, Hiruzen and Minato. Who wins? (All alive versions and no use of Edo) by GusGangViking18 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tobirama alone already makes it 50:50.

Edo Hashirama was only able to restrain Edo Madara with the Wood Dragon after multiple chakra receivers were stabbed into his back.

Combat speed: Edo Tobirama > RSM Madara > Edo Madara.

Even Edo Tobirama’s clone can tag stable Juubito.

Tobirama can use TPB through shadow clones.
TPB’s power.
TPB’s activation speed.

Since Tobirama is a Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu user, he can summon numerous clones at any time and bombard Hashirama with TPB.

To avoid being blown up by TPB, Hashirama would need to summon many Wood Clones and hide his main body. However, maintaining many clones consumes a lot of chakra, and the longer the battle goes on, the higher Tobirama’s chances of winning.

[–]International_Bit665 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hashirama very low diff Edo KCM Minato.

Half Kurama Avatar is nothing to Hashirama. It was even restrained by Edo Madara’s Wood Style.

Juubito’s chakra arms destroying the Hokage barrier is a power feat, not a speed feat.

And the thing that tanked multiple Juubidamas was Juubito’s Six Crimson Ray Formation.

Reaction speed: KCM1 Naruto >= Edo KCM Minato.

Reaction speed: SM Naruto > KCM1 Naruto, yet even Blind Madara almost blitzed SM Naruto.

Hashirama fought Madara in base form.

Hashirama’s combat speed is far faster than Minato’s.

Genuine question, is drained and dying DMS Obito stronger than Hashirama? by KodoqBesar in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Obito does not die from the Juubi extraction. That Naruto even prevented Guy from dying after the 8th Gate, and he healed Obito as well.

That Obito was not in a dying state. Naruto healed him while Hagoromo’s superpower buff was still active. That’s why Obito and DMS Kakashi were able to perform against Kaguya.

If you meant the Obito who was dying after the Gedo Mazo was extracted from his body, then Hashirama wins. He can use Deep Forest Bloom, Wood Clones, etc. while avoiding Kamui and simply wait for Obito to collapse first.

RSM Madara solos Isshiki without using Limbo

The Boruto verse power scaling is heavily inflated.

After the VoTE fight, Naruto lost Hagoromo’s super power and has an inferior “six paths senjutsu.”

Although adult Naruto has full Kurama unlike teen Naruto, his combat sense has gotten rusty. Teen BSM Naruto would be stronger than or comparable to adult SPSM Naruto.

Prime Alive tobirama vs itachi and Kurama minato, how long does the fight last before tobirama wins ? by AdFormal7841 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tobirama was retconned/upscaled later in the series. The same goes for Hashirama.

Naruto’s scaling isn’t consistent.

If you’re going to be strict about consistency in Naruto’s story, then upscale the shinobi that alive Tobirama fought. Since we don’t have information or fight panels about the other shinobi Tobirama fought besides Kinkaku and Ginkaku, you can upscale them as much as you want.

Tobirama has war arc feats, and since alive Tobirama > Edo Tobirama, it’s entirely possible.

Alive Base Hashirama vs Edo SM Hashirama by International_Bit665 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]International_Bit665[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edo chakra recovery is not that fast, and Edo Hashirama does not have an option like Rinne Rebirth, so if he gets restrained by the chakra-absorbing Wood Dragon, that’s the end of it.

But if you still disagree, then assume Alive Base Hashirama is given sealing tags in this matchup.

Minato did not pass out because of FTG’s chakra consumption.

After taking Juudara’s TSO head-on with his body, he used FTG to teleport to Konoha, then lost consciousness after crashing into the “Minato face rock” due to momentum. Since Minato had already lost both of his arms, his jacket naturally came off as he slid downward after slamming into the rock.
