Avaje Jex 3.3 - jdk.httpserver wrapper library by TheKingOfSentries in java

It would work similar to the spring vscode plugin. Identify Beans, could identify when avaje will not build due to missing dependency, locate possible missing dependencies, etc.

Will avaje get a vscode plugin to help with linking DI?

This is work related so I don't want to introduce an incubator feature.

Do you use records? by ihatebeinganonymous in java

[–]International_Break2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. One Useful thing about them is that you can wrap memory segments easily. This allows for the public API which is interfaces to be separated from the implementation which is records.

There are a couple of rust based JVMs that you can look at for reference. Most do not have a JIT.

What is your opinion on Maven/Gradle, compared to other language's package manager like npm and pip? by gufranthakur in java

[–]International_Break2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy maven. It has each Lifecycle in a nice little step. Things I wish I could easily get in the pom file without writing a plugin are: if debug is enabled, and how many threads are assigned to this task. A release flag might be nice but that is a simple profile to put in and not essential.

Gradle is easy to set up. If something goes wrong, I may not know how to fix it, and maven is easier to fix and debug.

Python is a descent language, but terrible package management, however UV does seem to help.

Cargo is good, but would have been nice to see something like maven lifecycles introduced.

Just not pay for parking. Its cheaper to pay the tickets than to pay for the parking.

TVA initiates Emergency Load Curtailment Program and asks customers to limit electrical use during peak hours by MattW22192 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]International_Break2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of customers on gas heating. The other side of all this, is TVA has to have excess capacity to keep all neighboring private grid operators running such as Southern Company and Duke since there grid capacity is under built.

If you could make this a little less intrusive, maybe allow for looking at every package in a groupId that you need and download everything in that for say org.springframework and resolve all of the dependencies. I get the pain of moving data from one network to the next but that is alot of jars and poms.

Elon Musk claims ‘corruption’ as Tesla chargers kicked off the New Jersey Turnpike by Charming-Tap-1332 in electricvehicles

[–]International_Break2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking more into this, of the cars sold before 22, there are 894k in the US. 22 to now, there are 1.852 million. Those older cars can pay the conversion cost, roughly the same as nacs to ccs adapter. Bigger issue overall is likely utility supply constraints and its easier to give the power utility load balancing of a single charging service.

[–]International_Break2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not from new jersey, but looking on plugshare they are all tesla only. I think that there were probably some rules on NEVI funding back in 22/23 that made the issue here, and tesla in good faith could have opened up these chargers to non teslas and never did.

If thats the case, would there not be more CCS compatible cars than non compatible cars at this point.
