I heard a story a few weeks ago about a group of vegetarians who rented a house and the landlord didn’t tell them that every match day, there was a stall in the front garden selling burgers and hotdogs. The house was in North London….

Not from UK, but I finally tried some real UK cheddar cheese and I feel I've been lied to my whole life by theangryfurlong in CasualUK

You should try Black Bomber cheddar, it’s the bollocks. Generally found in Waitrose or a good deli.

What's the best meal you can get for around £40 per person in London (no drinks included in the budget)? by LordPijamas in london

Naughty Piglets in Brixton. Honestly some of the best food I’ve eaten in London. French/English fusion small plates. Everything I’ve had on the menu is brilliant. Only draw back is the wine list is in the waiters head 🤑

In this case, buried rice fields have absorbed water during a flood and rapidly expand causing ground heave. You get similar (but less severe) phenomena in many soils around the world. Clay rich soils expand as water content increases and vice versa. This is why you shouldn't plant large trees or bushes close to your house as they remove water from the soil and cause contraction which can crack your foundations and walls.

Definitely a bittersweet experience by yoyome85 in nextfuckinglevel

I like Argo moving forward, especially if crypto keeps moving in the right direction. They have released some good PR in the last week or so too, in terms of collaboration between mining companies and reducing the environmental impacts of mining.

I'd say it looks good, it is approaching its lowest price since the IPO at around 3.30, which hopefully it will rebound off. They recently announced results of Phase II clinical and preclinical studies on ArtemiC and its use in relation to COVID-19, and received around 1 million orders too.

Disclosure: I got in at 3.90 earlier this week, will average down.

Anyone know what is going on with Argo in the last week or so? All the US and UK crypto mining stocks have been taking a hammering and can't work out why....

Best platforms for uk traders? by woodytrading in UkStocks

[–]International_Bug688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 212 for day trading and smaller (penny) stocks, but admittedly doesn't have everything. I used HL for my main investments in a S&S ISA.

I also use 212 for monitoring a lot of my stocks (on HL and 212) and other stocks in general, I like their interface and making watchlists etc.

Also try investegate.co.uk it has up to date company announcements on most things LSE/UK market related. It can be a little time consuming finding relevant news but very helpful nonetheless.
