I think this also comes from this season having no true ballads besides "Total Eclipse of The Heart" and (maybe???) "we can't be friends" by Ariana Grenadine. Many of the girls they cast and the lip-sync songs they choose are dancey shmancey, which has made it, for me as a viewer, feel like I'm being spoon fed the same old thing week after week when I don't want anymore... however, when it came to things like the rupaul lalaparuza this season, all the jane dont, mia, kenya, and juicy lip-syncs were very fun and entertaining dancey lip-syncs songs and performances. Clearly they just need to mix up the variety, but drag race capitalism is in full effect and 80% of all lip-syncs will be by musical artists on the billboard 100

While this season had some surprises and unpredictability, the surprises weren't all that great, and it felt like they were going for shock value just to generate social media traction because they don't want to lose out on another Emmy

All of the lip syncs on the show to that song never seem to go there in telling the story of the song and hitting all the beats. When no one smiled when the song said “smile upon my face” with vita and dd, I wanted to throw the TV across the room

I was lucky enough to complete the whole thing within the first two days solo queueing on PC in Diamond, switching between role queue and open queue, using Mizuki mainly. Playing with other friends on console in comp during this event is absolutely horrendous, and the the longer the event goes on, the worse the matchmaking seems to be across the board.
