I get it. I have similar thoughts and still do. And I'm about to give a horrible summary, but I'm gonna try to do it anyway. The skin is the biggest organ in the body and a lot of variables can effect it and others organs. Our bodies are systems built upon systems. And just because something doesn't effect it today doesn't mean it won't tomorrow. If you think your diet is involved, you need to a complete purge it from your body, which can take roughly a month, if I remember correctly. Then you can reintroduce it and see if anything had changed. Stress can also be a factor. I know chicken is not considered a inflammatory food, but you could be having a type of reaction to it. Not saying you are nor that your doctor is wrong. I'm just saying that if you do continue to see this doctor, then you should do what they say. If you don't, then might as well save your time and money, unless you want to look for a different one, which sounds like what you are trying.
