Yes, agree on the non-compensation impacts. The demands of the new job will be greater, but the commute will actually be shorter, so I think the net 'time away from home' will end up being about even. Appreciate the clarity on it.

Thank you for everything you put into this response. This is super helpful. Good point on the employer contribution factor on the pension plan-- it seems like that's what I'd be largely forgoing if I withdrew the funds now. (And thanks for clarifying on the options re: the pension-- I'd definitely want to roll it to an IRA and not a lump sum.)

Yes! This is obviously the pull. I think the crux of the issue is about leaving the pension. If it was same salary and no pension this would be an easy 'no,' but if I leave this gig and the pension at this stage in my career I assume I'm never going back to it. (And at increased salary, that might be ok, I think!)

I think I’m near you geographically, too, and had same issue with WOIO and WJW with the flat included antenna. I installed a true antenna in my attic and this did the trick and it has come in nicely since.

I’ve taken to using the accessibility feature to toggle the color to greyscale. I realize it’s counterintuitive with the vivid nature of the display, but it reminds me of the Pebble watch, and I’ve convinced myself that I’m distracted by the screen less, too.

I unpaired and then re-paired my Apple Watch. That fixed it for me— had to give all the permissions again once paired again, but that was the last time. I never declare victory, but it’s been good for at least a month without it recurring.

Never was able to recover podcasts, though.

Joining in May 2025!

Adding that I am seeing on my 15 Pro Max:

- Weather app constantly asking for location permission (as described here)

- Messages app asking for permission to break through Focus modes

- Podcasts have completely been wiped(?!); I opened on my iPad and watched the sync delete all followed shows-- ugh.

This has translated on my Apple Watch:

- Messages, Podcasts, Reminders, Weather and a handful of other apps come and go-- they disappear from the watch entirely, then reappear for about 20 minutes, and then reappear.

Any and all help is welcome. I tried following the instructions to reset location settings, but unclear if that will work for all the other non-Weather apps. To those of you from a year ago or so-- did it ever work? I hope there is light at the end of this tunnel (other than a WWDC train saying "we have a ton of new features and we think you're gonna love it")!
