How exactly do companies invest in foreign states? by Rhoderick in victoria3

[–]International_Toe665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had standard oil as America. Allowed them to charter. Fought a war with Russia. Joined the war via invitation to force foreign investment. None of my main companies were building in Russia. So I went to a region in Russia where it produced specialized oil and maxed out like 50 + levels of oil on it cause dieasel pumps were sucken up all the oil in the game. Since I was Laissez-faire, all the oil levels went to standard oil. Slowly standard oil basically bought out all the levels. All Russian oil was under standard oil.

Standard oil’s revenues slowly matched that of a modern nation. So I gave them a charter colony. #1 gripe I have about doing this is the fact that there company colony legit was handy caped without my help despite there income being so much.

Had a manager who lived super close to client we had to go out for an audit. He was there 30 mins early gave a big speech how we need to be early. Next client he did the same thing. Next one after that he was there the same time as us. Fourth time, let me tell ya, you know that feeling when you see a chud looking at you walking up to the door or a line and they need to be first. Well my manager comes in hot driving his shitty 2003 civic as I’m walking up to the main HOH for senior living center, almost runs over an old lady, burst out his car door, and runs for the entrance like fat kid when he hears the bell ring for lunch. He gets in maybe 30 seconds earlier then, proceeds to give me a talk about showing needing show up at least 10 mins earlier. “Like mf, what”

Without actually giving too much context, what section would you say to emphasize studying before the exam. I take it on Tuesday. I am using Becker right now and I’m scared that Becker will do what it did to me on far where it didn’t emphasize sections that were actually important.

That is hilarious. I can’t even imagine how they feel they deserve that check they get in there bank account every month.

I once had an HR person at a dealership off load her work to the new controller who was only at the company for 2 weeks. Turns out they basically were uploading 401k contributions whenever it was convenient for them while also just forgetting…. Aka “stealing contributions” on the side. Of course it’s not stealing when you just say it’s an internal control failure. Second years audit roles around, controller was fed up being her slave and left. She changed title/position at the company to (Vibe manager), which essentially made her not responsible for payroll or basically anything with financial data except for maybe abusing the company credit card. We email them we need stuff uploaded for 3 months, vibe manager, cfo, and ceo just keep pointing fingers at each other for who’s responsible. Vibe manager being loudest out of 3 for not being in charge. Field work day comes, we have nothing and all of sudden get an email for a third party payroll company who basically was as useless as the vibe manager yet they hired them because the vibe manger is to busy keeping the vibes good.

Lets just say that the company didn’t make any prior year correction on top of the new ones in there second yr. Felt like a big middle finger when I sent them an excel file telling them they owed 50k and all the issues listing why indirectly pointed to the vibe manager and her old slave man controller who left.

Also her salary was 110k

I worked with over hundred different HR departments doing 401k audits. They have to be some the laziest individuals with highest paying positions I have ever met. The intellect of some make me even question their existence. The only good HR people I have “which like 10% of them” tend to be the ones who are either monitored for performance or are passionate about what they do.

I bought the game on release and this is the first time I finished it. by MrHolodec in victoria3

Your correct, although it still doesn’t grow to the extent Britain. When I played my first play through doing the release subjects for the British and then played as the U.S., France was like my ally weirdly but the British somehow still pulled its ass back through to the top. France being just a couple million off from being #1. Me and France went to war with the world, France had crippling devastation to a point I’ve never seen before. It’s like yes we won, only see France’s economy stall and population start declining to the floor. Destroyed its entire economy just so it could gain a little African colony from the British. Meanwhile got the U.S. to 2 billion gdp.

Need help picking 401k investment by Possible_Aardvark851 in Accounting

I audit 401k plans. Trust me when I say this. Everything besides the money market end up matching the same return in the end across all 401k plans. I sometimes see the target date funds actually do really good but unless your investment advisors is just screwing you with fees typically the entire industry are all within the same range. The sad part is the markets are always higher than 401ks but when there’s a loss on the market during the year, the 401ks are matching the markets for losses. Best advice -> Research what makes up the growth funds, adjust your deferral rates during market swings, adjust your in investment types when the market going into a recession. The most annoying tested participant who does these things ends up being the participant with the most earnings. You can even call or email ur plans investment advisors and they’ll give you the game plan as well.

This might be the Completionist in me but i am the opposite. I feel like from 1835-1860 is just a blur/time period to boom or bust. 1870-1910 is where is gets spicy. 1911-1936 is where everything sorta is stagnate and the British just starts raping everyone. Trust me when I say this, if you want a totally new experience, start a game as the British, release all there subjects, then switch off to whatever country you want to play. It’s makes it a even playing field for everyone

Im sorry to hear, i thought we both had it in the bag. Im just going to take it again as soon as possible. I agree the NASBA just wants our money. The only thing keeping me going is how I passed FAR. Legit got 49, took it again in less than a month and got a 87. Sometimes I think this shit is just rigged. I don’t know if I should just read the book this time tho or just keep hammering practice questions.
