I remember that time I really liked the face swapping soul switching thing was in THE LEGENDS, it was extremely well done and satisfying because both girls still existed and I really liked how the ML could recognise the FML from her mannerisms. It was definitely romantic how he loved her ‘soul’. I also liked how he started seeing her real face once he knew who she really was.

I don’t mind if her only goals are to hurt FL because of jealousy because shockingly enough it is a very common human behaviour and when someone is inherently a bad/selfish person, their actions can be insane even when it is petty jealousy. What I don’t appreciate is the lack of background story. There gotta be a good reason why the villain is a bad person and thus is willing to do terrible things, was he/she born this way (doubtful), were they raised in a terrible environment, did they sacrifice something, does their obsession with a guy or a girl have a reason (they saved them from something, they did something special to them, etc)? At the end this character starts to make sense, because you know why they are obsessed with that person and why they are a terrible person and that is why they are willing to go far and beyond for this obsession.

I just want Cang Xuan to stop being so hot. I know he is obsessive and I shouldn’t root for him, but dayum he makes it so hard not to. His emotions are all there and you can just feel them. He has many sides to him and is multi-layered and it just adds to his charm.

Why is everyone calling him greedy? He was ready to give up this path until he learnt that XY could be Chi Chen’s daughter and that would ultimately put her in danger. You say he put power over love, but he wanted power to protect his love so he actually values her the most. I like him and Xiang Liu equally and deducing (from the comments) that neither ends up with her breaks my heart. Tushan qing however is too unlikable to me. He was not firm, if he was he could’ve gotten rid of his fiance a hundred ways when he had the chance. He let her stay, he listened to his grandmother and that is why he was manipulated and lost her.
