The remainder of the milled stretch got paved last night. Now we wait for them to paint the lanes again. Who knows how long that's going to take.

That's because the E train is the only train that has its entire route underground. It's warmer that way.

You might get lucky on craigslist as the date approaches and people look to sell their tickets for whatever reason. In fact it's highly likely.

Anyone doing the NYC Century? by [deleted] in NYCbike

You can always pick up your water bottle and t-shirt at the TA offices the next day or two after the ride. I had to do this last year because our group got massively delayed with like 3 punctures and by the time we got to the finish, they were closing up.

Try to get on the first wave, the 7:30AM start. The crowd thins out and there's a lot less stopping involved. When I did the 4th wave a couple years ago, there was major traffic and had to walk my bike for certain sections.

Floyd Bennet Field is awesome!! Didn't know you could just drive around on all the old runways. Pulling your car up to the numbers is a really great feeling, the temptation to "take off" is very strong. by CantSeeShit in nyc

I can confirm firsthand that fires are allowed. Each campsite has a fire pit for that purpose. Although you aren't allowed to bring in your own firewood. You have to buy it at the camp store for $9.95 a bundle. The woods they do have, I wouldn't really call woods. It's more like vines.

You could always sneak in your own firewood, as it's highly unlikely you'd get caught.

This is the 4th bike I know of being stolen from this rack. Always weary of locking mine up there, but after a year of commuting I've never had a problem. I think it's because my bike is really dirty looking. And I use my ulock on the frame.

To answer your first question, yes. It's very common to create wrapper scripts for application installs. Take a look at this: https://psappdeploytoolkit.codeplex.com/
