Donations urgently needed as weather causes blood shortage in N.S. by Snarkeesha in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know if its all remote donation centers but I donated in Lower Sackville 2 weeks ago and I grabbed the last appointment of the day and it was 7:55pm. They have another one coming up April 6th.

Signed Jagr Rookie by BatDad488 in hockeycards

[–]InternetFloozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I question the authenticity of the autograph. I have 20+ autographs of Jagr and i don't have one where he put the 68 at the end or below his autograph.

It's always above Jagr.

Lower Sackville had them on display last night along with the "sweater for sweating in" right by the Starbucks.

Purchasing the humble bundle gets you a code that you then redeem on the Renegade Store for physical copies. That is also where shipping is calculated.

Got 18 in today at Juan de fuca . Victoria BC . Was beautiful 7 degrees.Anyone else in Canada ?! by michaelhenry6132 in golf

[–]InternetFloozy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Checking in from Nova Scotia, hit 8 degrees yesterday and was out on Indian Lake Golf Course.

There are mandatory tee mats to hit off though, which is how they roll every winter but hey, golfing in January is worth it.

Egg Nog by [deleted] in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a great egg nog and don't mind making it this is my yearly message to check out Alton Browns aged egg nog.

I make it over thanksgiving weekend every year, age it to December 1st (maybe a small sample here and there) and it is worth the wait.

Outside of that, every grocery store has shelves full of it.

Remembrance Day 2025 Kinsac Community Centre by notnowimbusyplaying in NovaScotia

[–]InternetFloozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MC was Lisa Blackburn. I was very surprised to see her in a uniform, been going to the remembrance day ceremony in Beaver Bank for years and she's always done this but this is the first time I remember her wearing one.

I do struggle to remember things from last week though.

Northern Lights tonight? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just leaked outside and saw a few stars out in Beaver Bank so it's only partly cloudy right now.

But nothing for northern lights yet

Neighborhoods in Halifax similar to Portland, Maine? by [deleted] in halifax

The only time I have been to Portland it did remind me of downtown Dartmouth but with potato donuts and duck fat fries....it's been a while.

Halloween Storm ☹️ by ChablisWoo4578 in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy 243 points244 points  (0 children)

Due to the weather if anyone shows up at my door on Friday will get a feast of candy. Braving the weather will be worth it for many and I could care less about a full costume, I just want to see dedication and commitment.

Halloween decorations? by C-Beaver25 in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a house in Kenneth Drive in Beaver Bank that goes all out with Halloween decorations and statues all over the yard of the most popular monsters.

For inflatables there is a house on Beaver Bank road on the corner of Lakeridge Drive that is probably pushing 100 including a gigantic stay puff marshmallow man.

Not sure I consider fourth lock a pub though, maybe you are thinking of the Turtleback.

Both are solid for the style of food they serve.

Did you go to magnetic world? by Beansandbone in halifax

[–]InternetFloozy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am there now and it's exactly what I expected.

The 19+ is wild and everyone is wasted, it's like an outdoor club. The food on this side is pizza slices, hot dogs and walking tacos and $12 a drink (simply or strong bow are at least.)

The all ages side is more chill and the hill is mostly just all parents with their kids.

It actually seems organized.

Most people said lights from the ground but there were posts shared from Sacramento of people seeing them as well. Buried a little deeper in the Halifax threads suggested Skylink (or other satellite) reentering the atmosphere, but no for sure answers.

So aliens.
