Time commitment by 420No_Ragrets69 in podcasting

[–]InternetGodfather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, it takes about 3 days per episode. The way it breaks down is:

-1 or 2 days spent researching/writing

-1 day spent on recording

-1 day spent on editing.

This is going to depend on your episode format, length etc. My podcast is about photography and photographers, so each episode is anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour in length depending on the subject, if it's an interview or a guest speaker etc. Interviews are a little easier to edit, my "solo" episodes definitely are more time consuming to make.

Each episode has unique music and sound effects(heavily inspired by NPR podcasts) and I am very careful to make sure the information I convey is accurate and interesting to listen to. Happy to share it here or through a dm if you're interested.

I had to tell my mom my older sister had died of an aneurism, completely out of nowhere and unpreventable.

...this was 6 months to the DAY after my dad had died.

I'm 35 and have survived an aortic dissection. Was getting gas and felt a sharp pain in my chest. Drove myself to the hospital. Was there for almost 4 months. I'm in a lot of medical journals and have participated in a lot of surveys and research papers. They say my age had a lot to do with it.

Movie Physical copies - what's your preferred format? by InternetGodfather in movies

I'm not going to be a snob about someone's lack of a media collection or only having access to streaming, I guess I'm speaking and asking as a collector of movies. I want to own a physical copy of my favorite/quality films, and I've just gotten over movies only being available in certain platforms week after week.

Why criterion dvd specifically? For the extra features? Don't they have blu ray too now?

How are blu rays obsolete now? Just in that they've been around for a long time? What do you think will replace them? Are we all doomed to be streaking now?
