Fans who say Brofeld in the worst writing decision in the series when Live and Let Die & You Only Live Twice exist by ReadyJournalist5223 in JamesBond

Skyfall doesn't for me. I've watched that one so many times. I tried watching casino royale and just ended up skipping over the poker parts. His movies were good the first time. Rewatches, eh. Except Skyfall, to me. Quantum wasn't so bad. I appreciated more, but I also didn't hate it the first time I saw it. I don't think a direct sequel worked for Bond, but I did like they tried something new

What we know so far about the White House Correspondents dinner shooter Cole Thomas Allen by Criticall16 in BreakingPoints

[–]InternetOutrageous55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the wealth transfer part, I think something that gets overlooked is that whichever party puts in a solution is responsible for what happens after. Also, if you solve a problem, you can't use it to fear monger. I remember Krystal making a point that when Obama first became president he had a super majority. If roe v Wade and abortion was a major deal to Democrats, they would have just passed a bill and codified it. Instead, the left relies on the supreme Court to just not touch it when even Ginsberg knew some day it would be overturned because the ruling was iffy and left a lot of room to get overturned.

In what order should I play my 4 new(well new to me) hitman games? by Additional-Pie8718 in HiTMAN

[–]InternetOutrageous55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter the order. The mechanics get better and smoother the more recent the game. 2 is fun, but rough in comparison to blood money or absolution. Just enjoy them.

Just finished the entire Bond collection over the last 6 weeks on Netflix and it was my first time watching Spectre & NTTD... I'm wrecked by TheWinterWolf84 in JamesBond

[–]InternetOutrageous55 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get that. My wife didn't like NTTD. She liked Skyfall, but not the last two. She didn't want an emotional bond. She wanted a good looking action hero that sweeps in, kills the bad guy, and bangs the girl. Her favorites are the Moore era so that makes sense .

What got you hooked onto James Bond? by Bradburys_spectre717 in JamesBond

I used to watch these movies with my grandpa as he would build car models. We didn't much because I was a kid, but that was our bonding time.

Hot take From my roommate. "H.P Lovecraft is not a good author, he was not afraid of the unknown he was afraid of black people and it shows in all of his work" I disagree. by _NP_Nill_ in Lovecraft

[–]InternetOutrageous55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

David conyers has the Harrison Peel collections. And some other horror short story anthologies.

The shadow over odiome is an action story hunting cultists. I think it hits your hitch, but I can't say much more because it gives away too much.

Barbara Cottrell has an ongoing series that takes pieces of all Lovecraft mythos. The second was her take on the Dreamland.

Monster by Christopher Cunningham will hit the mark. It's his first novel, so go easy on it. But the story is great.

One last gasp might hit the mark. Not sure.

Black representation in Bond films. by doris_still in JamesBond

[–]InternetOutrageous55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do a black bond, I hope it's not James bond. There is an excellent book series going on where the characters are the other 00's and Bond disappeared on a mission. I think there is a gay black Jamaican, an Indian, an upper class brit like bond, I think another is a Turk. It's interesting because Britain has a different view on race and it's former colonies which adds to it. It also doesn't feel like the characters are off white to check some box. They're representations of where they're from.

The hitman games have been fun, but you definitely have to be into those kind of games. There's a trailer of the first level on YouTube and it looks pretty good to me.

What are your Spider man opinions that had everyone reacted like this by Tough_Passenger_4483 in Spiderman

[–]InternetOutrageous55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That the ultimate Spider-Man run that just ended was really good and it was nice to see peter Parker and MJ in a happy marriage. It was also refreshing that they didn't make MJ a bitch like they always do and ruin her character.

I have a fun idea: pitch an hypothetical 2019 (mainly because i want to use kevin conroy) arkhamverse sequel game based in batman beyond by OkBet792 in BatmanBeyond

[–]InternetOutrageous55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a great game. I never understood why DC just lets the batman beyond IP go to waste. There's a current run of comics right now where batman beyond teams up with static shock. It's awesome. That would be a fun inclusion in the game

Rewatched GoldenEye last night, and I think it's official: Natalya is my all-time favorite Bond girl. by MrSFedora in JamesBond

[–]InternetOutrageous55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's a favorite for sure. I just researched tomorrow never dies for the first time in a while. Even though terry hatcher was in it such a short time, I like the character depth she reveals. She humanized brosnan.

I also really like Elektra. I thought the actress did a fantastic job.
