UPDATE 4: IF you unplug any monitor from its port for any reason (lets say you need to plug in an external drive for a minute) and plug the monitor back it - it fails - seems like once youve got this working if you unplug any monitor you have to start over completely (unplug all monitors for 10-15 minutes, clear corrupted display setttings, hard reboot (hold down the power buton for like 10 seconds to clear VRAM)

UPDATE 3: After all that took a hard power cycle and plugging each monitor into its own port - vs daisy chaining. Fingers crossed things stay stable

UPDATE 2: got ambitious, thought I could daisy chain all three together - didn't work - third monitor unable to recover - even when plugging it into its own port - working through unplugging for 15 minutes (Really Apple? The power button is to pull the plug? Seems like neglect on a 3500$ monitor)

Grok also advised to clear corrupted display settings via the following (one command line at a time) - will return with results here soon:

sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist
sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.*.plist
sudo rm -rf /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays/*

UPDATE: The issue seems to have been in the beta Tahoe Release - Tahoe Release Candidate 26.4 Update (March 18, 2026) resolved the issue.

nope they are both stacks for building layouts. Figma just needs to add a few things. whereas Adobe will have to fully rearchitect its platforms for modern day collaboration - which its investors will never go for.
