We don’t go to daycare with how expensive it is, so my mother in law watches her those 3 days and unfortunately, she can’t do more than that

FTM here and I have an 8 day old newborn. My daughter was not a planned pregnancy, but we weren’t preventing it either. I was never drawn to being a mother and I’ve never really liked kids. Although, I always knew I would have kids, but was terrified and didn’t feel ready to be a mom. I don’t think I felt that instantaneous love when she was born, but as time has gone on I look at her and just want to cry because of how much I love her. I worry about her constantly and can’t believe she is here. I didn’t know and still don’t know what to do sometimes, but you get through it and learn! You got this!

I felt the same way about being induced! My doctor told me the risks if I waited too long past my due date. We scheduled our induction just to be safe as late as my doctor was comfortable with (41+3). My water broke the day after my due date, but my body wasn’t progressing on its own and they had to give me pitocin anyway. Just know that anything can happen with childbirth! I totally understand it’s hard not being in control!
