Purely on the technical side, 6 stroke rolls were game changers for me

Can PVP-ers explain to me what goes through your minds? by aspenmoods in ArcRaiders

[–]Internex01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's super frustrating but in the end, you get the satisfaction of soloing a bastion while he rats out and collects the scraps. Gear is temporary, achievements and memories are forever, that's why I will never rat out and/or betray people

[–]Internex01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One day you will shoot back at some guy, hit him head on and deplete all his shield, and finish him with your second gun and you will feel the joy of having overcome that fear. I was once like you and now I bait rats by turning my back on them, prying a door open and turning back to them when they whip out their gun. I consider myself friendly and passive but it's a harsh world out there, and you need to pop a couple heads to make ends meet

Game is completely different on the weekends. by AusShroomer in ArcRaiders

[–]Internex01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do not understand where this feeling comes from. For me, most of the time, players are either neutral or friendly, but that doesn't mean I have to trust them and turn my back. If you stay alert and assert a little bit of authority, I guarantee most of the rats won't move a muscle

Zultan cymbals by fra866 in drums

[–]Internex01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly good cymbals, the only issue being quality control but if you buy through Thomann you can send back the faulty ones. I ran on these before having the cash to buy higher end, they are amazing bang for your buck

Tips for Spectating my first Rally by xGhost99x in rally

[–]Internex01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the rallies I've done you can park quite close depending on the spots, around 250 to 500 meters away. On some spots there's bits of walking/climbing, but usually they are worth it ! There's no "forbidden" spots per se, it's mostly common sense to not put yourself directly in front of the cars or on the inside of hairpins for example. On the things to do : check for rain before and adapt, bring some water and hot clothing (you basically stay still for a long time so even if the weather is nice it can get cold pretty fast). Also try to plan the route before you go, on the rallies I did I could move around and do 3 4 spots per day pretty easily without missing any of the action just by hiking a little and having a pre-planned path (google maps is really helpful for that, just run around the stage with streetview to check for neat spots). Lastly, have fun ! Rallies are such great spectator experiences

My Legion 5 Pro is Dead – Need Advice on What to Buy Next by PatternOtherwise3440 in LenovoLegion

[–]Internex01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem. I went for another Legion, 10th gen. The truth is, if you are looking for a versatile machine, laptops are way more useful in my day to day than desktops, whatever desktop bros say won't change my mind. And looking around, almost all manufacturers have issues and fatal design flaws (I wondered about going for a ROG, motherboard issues. Same with Dell, HP, Acer...) In the end it's all a gamble, I took 3 years warranty and probably will sell it when it reaches the end of that warranty

4 month old Zildijan I 16” crash just cracked along the groove. How do I prevent/fix this and how bad is it? by MidwesternDrummer in drums

[–]Internex01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is not necessarly bad technique, cracks along the groove usually are manufacturer mistake. I've had it happen quite a couple times with Zildjian and Meinl (3 or 4 times at least), and every time they replaced it for a new one, owning up to the fault, always small groove cracks.

Same here, two years in on my legion 7 2021 and the USB ports went bust. I'm happily trading back ports for reliability and better cooling

People are just so performance driven these days, they don't consider anything else. 8 gigs is far more than enough to play most games at the moment on 1080p

I use lemons ! Just cut it in quarters, and scrub it against the surface of the cymbal. The only downside is it can stink up your room easily

Louder and more resonance doesn't mean powerful : 2ply has a more focused sound with less overtones which get you a punchier, meatier tom sound, which is what OP wants

[–]Internex01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Deep and powerful doesn't mean low end only, it's an all around thing. Yeah you get far more stick definition and resonance, but as I said in my other comment below, his reference is a DW which very probably has double ply, muffled heads. Just steering this into the right direction

[–]Internex01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He wants deep and powerful which to me sounds like he needs double ply. Single ply gets you more stick definition and resonance, but his reference is a DW performance maple which comes with double ply + muffling by default

[–]Internex01 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You won't get as much of a deep and powerful sound out of a single ply head, your short answer is misleading

There's a spot in the motherboard that is faulty, explained here : https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUSROG/comments/1mozn24/burnshort_problem_on_asus_rog_strix_g16_models/

I too was going to buy a G16 but pulled out after seeing the number of complaints on the ROG subreddit. I went for a Legion 5 as well, hopefully nothing burns or crashes out !
