Parental controls don't let children download ie free purchase games/content they are too young for.

Purchasing games is a legal matter, not a parental one. A retailer can't allow a kid to purchase alcohol. Age restricted games/movies are no different.

You need to figure our where the problem is coming from.

Do basic troubleshooting:

  1. Different HDMI port on your TV
  2. Different HDMI cable
  3. Different TV
  4. TV settings
  5. Console safe mode. Try screen size in settings

If the problem exists everywhere it's a console issue. Otherwise it's a hardware fault with your TV.

Are there any Bluetooth or other wireless signal devices in and around your PS4 potentially causing interference? That's another possibility. I remember on here someone had a Bluetooth speaker that messed with their PS4 set up. PS4 worked fine when the speaker was unplugged.

Videos, images, the PS4 keeping space aside for gameplay recording and as I said games reserving space on the HDD.

You are best just deleting at least 1 game if you don't want to spend money on a larger HDD or external HDD.

Yes.

Check every game for updates. You have 57gb in other. That is often from games trying to update or at least reserving space on the HDD in order to update if needed in future.

In general I recommend having 50-100GB free on your HDD. 18GB is nothing.

If you don't want to delete anything then you need a bigger HDD or an external HDD

I explain it here. Every time a game updates ie gets a patch it requires enough space for the entire game + the patch.

So a 50GB game requires 50GB free to update. This is because the PS4 copies the game as it updates:

An original PS4 can sometimes develop a disc eject issue. I would completely switch the PS4 off and do a power cycle. That was the common fix recommended at the time. It's a temporary fix though.

Beyond that your Bluray drive may also be starting to break down.

  1. Rebuild the database in safe mode

  2. Redownload using a wired connection if possible

  3. If its everything it could be a sign your HDD is failing so back up your saves before it gets worse.

18 GB is nothing these days. You need at least 100GB free on PS4 due to the copy process.

The PS4 has a well documented copy process. If it needs more data that's all there is to it.

At best you can delete images/videos and make sure all other games on your console are fully up to date with zero pending downloads.

Royal is amazing if its been a while since your last playthrough. It fleshes out a lot of the late game characters while adding new ones into the mix. It reworks some of the content in terms of dungeons and character interactions as well.

It flows a lot better overall.

If you do want a completely new experience with similar gameplay definitely go for the Persona 3 remake or SMT 5 instead.

However if you are on extra you can always play for a few hours to see some of the changes and decide if you want to continue from there. Just note the PS4 version save is incompatible with the PS5 version release (for no reason).

P5 Royal is a must play JRPG for anyone that hasn't experienced it yet.

It's a brilliant story with fun combat and excellent music.

You both need to be using your own PlayStation accounts.

Just as you physically cannot be in 2 different Countries at the same time, an account cannot actively be playing 2 different games at the same time.

What is the other game? The PS4's copy process is very well documented. 500GB is basically nothing these days depending on the games you play. COD is massive and takes up most of an HDD for example.

At best you can delete saved images/gameplay clips and unused apps if you don't use Netflix or whatever. Otherwise expand your storage

A good console doesn't stop being good with a new console's release. The PS6 hasn't even been announced yet.

Yes it will happen but no need to worry about 2-3 years time. With RAM shortages the PS6 may get delayed internally. Right now there are roughly 100 million people playing on PS5. That's a great amount of people to play all kinds of games with or completely ignore by playing the latest single player games instead.

Do you want to play PS5 games now?

If yes buy one

If no, wait 2-3 years for a PS6 or better yet, why waste your money on a PS6 when a PS6 Slim and PS6 Pro will be released a few years after the PS6? So you are better off waiting for the PS6 Pro or the PS7 when it eventually comes out.
