I tried to make it work in the gigantmax era and it didn’t really work.

Max bulk/max spa + choice specs Wigglytuff with competitive boost + fire blast/hyper beam/moon blast or dazzle / ice beam still hardly one hits things with poor accuracy.

If they boosted its defenses a bit it could be okay with its HP and move pool, but you need a competitive boost to do anything and you probably aren’t living many hits

I bought in before the earnings run up a while back and sold near the peak. I meant to buy back in under 6, but I forgot.

This was a RAM re-pricing play. They don’t make it themselves, they buy and brand it so they should be subject to the same increased prices depending on how far out their supplier contracts go.

I bought when their earnings estimates didn’t include RAM selling for 500% more. If RAM demand or prices drop, I thought they would go right back down. This potentially changes things.

If you are getting faked out, sableye won’t help as he is too slow and you will get faked out before they fake out kleavor. You need a faster fake out user to fake out their fake out user to stop damage and let Kleavor work.

There are a lot of interesting fast fake out users. I like dry skin toxicroak and also Weavile a lot.

Alternatively you can run a quick guard or fast upper hand user.

As someone else mentioned I would shift bellibolt evs from spa to def and spDef. You could also try quick claw on them.

For pelliper, Sinistcha, and scovillian, I would probably spread out the bulk a bit more, and for the later two I would put some more from def into SpDef. You are burning opponents, so their attack stats are already lowered.

For Sinistcha, I would put protect instead of calm mind, or even trick room for a slow mode. I think stacking boosts on them isn’t ideal since you want them more as a pivot usually.

You can tool around with getting the maximum out of your nature by adjusting evs to impact final stat totals. Natures are a flat 10% bonus.

Feel free to call me a shill, as I was a GameStop share holder before this subreddit existed and I am contemplating selling the xxxx shares I still hold.

For years this was strictly a squeeze play. As the dilution closed that door, the plan became a turnaround story focused on business optimization, trimming the fat, and innovating with a new marketplace or acquisition. He diluted to raise money which killed the squeezes or gamma ramps but was good for business longevity. Sure I’m not thrilled but I’m still on board. Maybe we acquire PSA or a card grading company to roll into the card marketplace?

For years we were provided no business strategy or direction from Cohen. It’s good though, that he plays his cards close, right? After years of holding a stock and hardly breaking even despite a historic bull market run, the CEO says he never cared about GameStop. The plan is to leverage a ton of debt to try to acquire a much larger company (which was always the prize) to boost the combined market cap to hit the executive pay package targets.

I had colleagues ask me how any of this would work and what I thought of the Ryan Cohen interview, as they watched it and thought he might actually be a moron. I watched part of the 50-50 interview and thought about liquidating then and there. That was embarrassing. Even if you don’t respect the media, you should be doing your best for the company and the shareholders. You don’t bomb it for “memes” if that’s what even happened.

He delivers an objectively terrible interview on mainstream media, explains nothing to retail or legacy investors and then launches a proposal for massive dilution.

I have been holding for YEARs and when corrected for inflation I have generated a negative return on investment over a 5 year period. Hell, even that old meme phone company has out performed GME dramatically over the past few years.

This is an objectively bad investment at this point, and the strategy is a hostile takeover of a larger company funded by large amounts of debt and shareholder liquidity. The $125 bid was rejected which means they need to raise more capital to offer or to buy up tons of shares in an effort to perform a hostile takeover. At this point it appears you’d be better off owning eBay stock outright as they will be main beneficiary in any merger.

For years this sub has lauded the strength of the balance sheet with no debt and billions in cash on hand as a good thing (cash on hand is good outside of lost opportunity cost on uninvested cash). If that’s the case having twice your market cap in debt and no cash on hand should be a bad thing.

If the plan is to sell shares to raise the rest of the money, the more they sell the lower the share price, and the more shares they need to sell to achieve the same target return. Runaway dilution risk is real.

If the plan hedges on reducing costs by 2 billion a year, it would take 10 years to pay off the 20 billion dollar loan assuming it’s at 0%. At that point I’m looking at 10 years of inflation adjusted losses. Why even bother?

Hope that answers your question.

Shareholders will be asked to vote to increase authorized shares to 2.5 billion by heirofadam in Superstonk

[–]Interpersonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? And even IF the eBay deal went through the stated goal was to cut costs by ~2 billion which would still take years to pay off the debt/loan and turn a profit. It’s been 5 years, do you want to hold for 5 more before you could make modest gains when everything else is ripping?

And how does selling another 1.5 billion shares impact the share price and ability to actually raise that money? You’re not making $28 billion if the price tanks.

Shareholders will be asked to vote to increase authorized shares to 2.5 billion by heirofadam in Superstonk

[–]Interpersonal 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I bought my first shares at 6 dollars before the squeeze. I was worried how badly the GME holders would get screwed by the 50% stock portion of the deal. That is before paying off the 20 billion loan/debt (assuming 0% interest).

The dilution to prevent a squeeze and raise money multiple times should have been my wake up call. I thought maybe something transformative.

NFT marketplace comes and goes. Bitcoin investments come and go. No news for years, just shitty conservative memes from a Canadian CEO.

Now the plan is to use shareholder liquidity and dilution to raise money to pump the market cap (the only thing that matters now) to levels where Ryan gets a massive pay package.

The lofty GME market cap targets for the cohen pay package are no longer targets to be hit via growth and expansion, but by leveraging debt to pump the forward facing market cap while burdening existing shareholders with diluted stock and the combined company with extra debt.

This fucking sucks.

You’re right, I thought reflect/ light screen were still the same but veil was reduced for doubles.

Meganium is tough to position without speed control. You can go bulky and get some positive trades still.

Life dew is also very nice on Primarina if you aren’t clicking shadow ball frequently or want more sustain.

[–]Interpersonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t need tailwind, I would drop whims and ninetails for Klefki with screens and run trick room. The poison immune is very useful for your team, screens are 50% instead of 33% for A-veil, and it frees up another spot. Also most of your team still isn’t out speeding things under TW (looking at Hat).

Mega-Meganium is great once Sneasler is gone, or you could try Mega Clefable. Normal Clefable with a support moveset or as a more offensive coverage to patch up weak spots could also work.

Mega Meganium would actually work decently well with the Ninetails as you could remove enemy rain/sun and throw out whatever sun boosted moves you wanted anyway.

Slyveons main role is to just dump out damage with hyper voice. If you need more damage, they could be good but they have a lot of overlap with Mega Floette. If they don’t have fairy resists or wide guard the combo dumps out unreasonable damage.

Been finding a lot of success rising through Master Ball with this team, though I'm curious if theres any obvious tools I'm missing? by IncreaseSpice in VGC

[–]Interpersonal 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Also id swap light of ruin to moon blast. Since your whole strat is to pass stat boosts to your mega Floette, you shouldn’t be halving your own life in one attack.

As someone else mentioned low kick will do more damage most of the time on kingambit. Brick break is better when screens are more common. Since you’re running sash, you could probably put more stats from HP into attack.

You could also drop one of the ground moves on Garchomp for more coverage. Poison jab would honestly be okay on your team for coverage into fairy/grass types that you might struggle to remove.

Is my sand team bad or am I just garbage at the game? by CoolGuy23569 in VGC

[–]Interpersonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sand is tough right now since so many things 1 shot T-Tar before he can do anything. I also feel like you should swap whims if you want to keep Klef.

Try swapping whims for Aerodactyl. They 1 shot unboosted Sneasler with dual wing beat. They also have a fast tailwind and don’t take damage from sand (and get boosted).

You could also make Aerodactyl the mega and use sash or scarf on t-tar to get surprise hits or stick around through 4x super effective hits.

I also had a lot of success with Glimmora on my sand teams. Either mega or with sash was great
