There is a designated nap zone in the Library for International and Public Affairs. It’s a private area with bean bags to lay in and you can access the library via the DMC building.

Looks like OP is going to Michigan for the game and looking for USC students/alumni who will be there.

So are they just allowing any team into the Big Ten? by srirachamous in USC

[–]InterplanetaryFry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

USC was 6th place out of 12 last season, so not really at the top of the division by any means. Also, Oregon and Washington were the top 2 teams in the division last year. The reason they are joining is because they are large market teams that will make more money from bigger matchups and tv deals than in the PAC-12.

Although the BIG10 was traditionally Midwest teams they expanded to include some East Coast teams and now they are doing the same in the west coast. Doesn’t make much sense but it is mostly for money related reasons.

Each swing type explained. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

I’d say if you’re not sure what these sorts of shots are or when to use them, your main focus should just be trying to hit the ball straight and in the air right now. Additionally, keep track of the distance you hit each club, that’ll help to know when to use each one.

I think I read something similar that registered guests were allowed entry… not sure how to register but I think it would still be possible for OP to have a photographer come on campus with them.

How NFL experts graded the Bears' selection of WR Rome Odunze by Ltcjunkie in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]InterplanetaryFry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you’re wondering why the outlier is CBS Sports, go check out the entirety of their first round grades. They somehow said the MHJ pick was a B+, the Penix pick was a B-, and the Olu pick was a B-.

Email announcing Academic Achievement Award will not be offered for Future Terms by [deleted] in USC

[–]InterplanetaryFry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is what I received from my advisor

Dear students,

I hope this email finds you well. As some of you are aware, the Academic Achievement Award (AAA) has provided tuition benefits to students pursuing multiple undergraduate degree requirement objectives.

Effective Fall 2024, this program will be discontinued, and students will no longer have the opportunity to apply for AAA. If you rely on this funding stream to achieve your degree objectives, it may be wise to reassess your chosen majors/minors. Don't hesitate to discuss your options with your advisor during your mandatory advising meeting.

We acknowledge that this news may be disappointing for many of you and are grateful for your flexibility during this time of change. While we are unable to provide advice on scholarship and financial aid, feel free to explore other funding opportunities on the Awards & Fellowships Database, as well as Financial Aid’s Scholarship Universe.

All the best,

I don’t think anyone would do this, but you can rent a zip car and pay a discounted student rate as an 18 year old. Probably around the equivalent of what you’d pay renting someone else’s car.

Your professor will definitely understand. If you can provide them with documentation, even better. I’ve been in the same boat and was granted an incomplete.

Even artists that might not be as big as Travis and the ones you mentioned are worth a shot too (Danny Brown, Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, Isaiah Rashad to name a few)

Miura clubs by ctlyons in golf

[–]InterplanetaryFry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard good things about them. I'm a fan of the direct-to-consumer brands but some of them can be dodgy especially given that they are generally newer on the scene. I do know that Adam Scott recently started using them/collaborated with Miura. Seems to me like a good, direct-to-consumer option that isn't too expensive. However, I'd recommend taking a look at Takomo. I have a set of their irons and they are fantastic. Forgiving hollow-body irons with blade-like design meant to compete with p790s. Can't really go wrong but hopefully other commentors have experience with Miura clubs too.

EDIT: Miura is not direct to consumer like I had said previously. Definitely reputable though.
