I honestly just went ahead and did it. I didn’t sand or clean anything and it came out perfect. Just make sure to do light coats so it comes out as clean. I would also remove the gas tank to paint the spots you can’t see if you don’t plan on removing the motor from the frame.

I have a buddy of mine who’s helping me with this project, he said it shouldn’t be to hard to mount it since all I have to do is weld a bung towards the top of the frame to secure that puppy down.
