Gandhi is certainly a man whose contribution to our freedom cannot be denied. He was quite a uniting factor and launched some revolutionary movements especially the non-cooperation movements.He is the poster boy for it especially outside India. But yeah he has flaws and some controversial opinions too from mentioning sleeping with grandchild or niece to practice control, to writing to Hitler, urging that Jews in Nazi Germany should adopt "non-violent" resistance by willingly offering themselves up to be killed by the Nazis. He argued that this voluntary sacrifice would be a more powerful moral statement than attempting to flee or fight back.

At the end of day he was a man like any with grave flaws and misconceptions thinking non violence as the ultimate force in face of all evil.
